Do not go to this Banfield location. I scheduled an appointment for vaccine renewal and a nail trimming. As soon as the vet tech entered the room she began trying to sell the wellness program. I expressed my hesitations as my dog is already insured but she continued to press the issue, not getting up to take my dog back until I gave an answer. Finally I asked if she would be able to take him back and I’d give an answer after. To this she told me that somehow my total for the visit, without the plan, would be $640. I was extremely confused by this as I only needed 2 vaccines and a nail trim. She began telling me that my dog needed a fecal test, multiple blood tests, a full exam, etc. all of which I was not prepared for and did not schedule an appointment for (I’d already gotten his comprehensive exam and stuff done this year). I asked if we could just do the vaccines and nails then and also get the blood work for the heartworm test but that was it. This entire time my dog is sitting calmly next to me on the bench. She takes him back and returns not even 5 minutes later saying she was unable to do anything, not even trim his nails or give his vaccines, because he was uncontrollable. I’ve never had an issue with my dog at any groomer or vet, he calmly came back and laid down next to me, I couldn’t believe it. She then started suggesting that he be anesthetized to get all of these things done and that I should go ahead and do a full dental cleaning while I’m at it. I was shocked and could not understand why any of this is necessary. Even then the vet tech continued to push that I get the wellness program over and over again. I’m trying to understand how she was unable to do anything of the things I needed done and she kept saying she “made 3 attempts” and couldn’t try anymore, I asked if they could try to do the vaccines and stuff with me in the room maybe he would be calmer and she said no because of the previous attempts. I understand dogs can act different in different environments but she wasn’t even gone 5-10 minutes, it didn’t seem accurate, the entire appointment lasted 2 hours… I left the visit and drove straight to PetSmart where the groomer trimmed and grinded his nails in 7 minutes, said he was totally calm and she couldn’t see how the vet wouldn’t have been able to do anything. The vet tech that I worked with was so rude and pushy and clearly was not listening to anything I said, it seemed she was only worried about money, she also continued to call my dog “she/her” the entirety of the visit even after asking me twice “is it a boy or a girl” which on top of everything else was so frustrating. I felt like I was in the twilight zone.

In person visits are always good, but getting ahold of anyone at this location via phone is impossible. Never seem to pick up the phone nor call back voicemails left. Trying to get my pets prescription questions answered has been a headache to say the least.

I scheduled an appointment for my senior pup to get her routine shots. I was contacted an hour and fifteen minutes before my scheduled appointment time, asking us to rush in because the vet wouldn’t be there at my scheduled appointment time…. Okay, then why was that time available on the website? Whatever, cool, I live close by so I can be there within the 15 minutes they’re asking me to be. I arrive, and so does a few other owners and pups.. nobody at the front desk for 10 minutes. Finally we get back into a room, where I expect everything to be ready because… you called me to be here at a time I did not set. My senior pup has anxiety, so she is shaking and panting the whole time. We waited 35 minutes, and it’s coming up on our scheduled appointment time… so I’m confused on why we had to be there early, just to wait to be seen at the time I had scheduled. It was extremely unprofessional. a lack of respect was given for our time, and my dogs health. Giving her an anxiety attack is not good for her overall wellbeing, and that’s what they are supposed to be there for - the health and wellbeing of our animals. We walked out after the 35 minute wait, not getting what we were rushed in for. I will be taking my pup elsewhere from now on.

I can't say enough good things about Crafton Hospital. No matter the day or time, they are always there for our little girl when we need them most. The care, compassion, and kindness they show our family mean more than words can express. Every member of the staff is professional, friendly, and truly takes the time to make sure all of our questions and concerns are addressed before we leave. They never make us feel rushed and always treat our daughter with such genuine care. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do, and I wholeheartedly recommend Crafton Hospital to anyone looking for exceptional, compassionate care thank you for always taking care of our little girl, Riley

I am very dissatisfied with the way I was treated by the front desk staff during my visit when I came to pick up my dog. The front desk employee was rude, she was dismissive, and would not allow me to ask questions or fully explain my situation. I felt as though I was being talked over instead of listened to. When I mentioned that I thought it was interesting because I hadn’t noticed any problems with my dog at home, she responded by saying, “You’re not a doctor.” I found this comment to be unnecessary, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I was simply trying to share my observations about my pet, which I believe is an important part of communicating with the veterinary team. In addition to my own experience, I also witnessed the same employee being confrontational with another customer while I was there. Seeing this behavior toward someone else reinforced my concern that this was not an isolated incident. I understand that veterinary offices can be busy and stressful, but I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future clients are treated in a more professional and compassionate manner. I also thought I should mention I never write google reviews, but felt so unsatisfied that I made an account to write this review.
