  if I’m being honest, any Petco that I’ve ever been to just seems… Dirty. On 6/2 I went to Petco at the Whitman Square shopping center on the blvd and bought a 34 pound bag of Purina pro plan for my dog. Two weeks later we Started seeing fruit flies, or what we thought were fruit flies. A week after that we were seeing moths. It’s summer so we assumed they just got in from outside but a couple nights ago I opened the dog food container and three moths flew out. Indian meal moths. I looked on the inside of the container lid, and it was full of larvae smh I threw the food Away obviously, Which was more than half an bag and cleaned his container really good. We were still seeing moths tho So for the past two days, we’ve been cleaning Especially in the kitchen where the pantry and dry goods are not to mention all the food we had to throw away. Food is expensive enough these days and we just had to waste hundreds of dollars worth Because Petco has larvae in their dog food. not to mention another $80 for more dog food. just a heads up to everyone if you get your dogs food from Petco, keep your eyes open. And Petco, Clean up a little bit do better because if my dog were to get sick over this……

  I went to refill my cat litter. I forgot how many pounds I refilled, but it cost $15 to $16.

  Pallets everywhere and refillable litter station is always blocked by merchandise … or never full... Wish the associates at the front register would tell me that it’s empty before carrying 60 lbs of empty litter boxes to the back of the store… Picture is from my 6/1 visit… Empty refill station on 6/12

  I am giving this location a five star review for one reason! I had my dog groomed there today. I’ve only had him since Thanksgiving 2025 and this is my first grooming appointment I’ve ever taken him to. A young lady there by the name of Taryn is who handled our groom appointment today and she did an amazing job! She was kind and had an immediate personality and vibe of loving animals and loving her job! She will now be my permanent groomer if she leaves Petco I plan on giving her my personal information so that she can let me know where she moves onto so that I can follow her there. That is how awesome of a job she did with my little guy. In the event that she sees this, I want her to know that I am so thankful for the love and care that she showed with my little guy. It did not go unnoticed and she now has a client for life!
