  I was super frantic looking for last minute help for my dog that had a bunch of ticks from a hike I did with her before coming to PA for a small trip. Luckily, Bond Vet Rittenhouse had availability for me and was seen ASAP. First of all, the woman at the front desk was so nice from the jump, which meant a lot to me already because I was freaking. The nurse, Sailor, that me and my dog spent time with before seeing the dr. is such a super star. My dog tends to be nervous but she was so patient with her and was so empathetic about the whole situation. She handled my nervous dog (and my nervous self) with such kindness that it compelled me to write this review. The Dr. was very thorough and thoughtful about how to go about the situation and I left Bond in such a positive way that it made me feel at ease about everything. Thank you so much to the team at Bond Vet Rittenhouse! 💖

  I brought my dog, Sasha, to this emergency hospital because she was visibly limping, and I paid for an examination so that she could be properly assessed. Dr. Angela Cooper offered X-rays for approximately $650, which I declined because I could not afford that cost. However, declining an expensive X-ray should not have meant that my dog received no meaningful assessment of her knee. Dr. Cooper did not perform a basic hands-on mobility test to check Sasha’s knee or assess for a possible ACL injury. From what I observed, she only felt around Sasha’s paw. She suggested several different possibilities, including that Sasha may have caused friction on her paw by jumping on or off the couch while I was away. She also focused on Sasha’s long nails, even though that did not adequately explain the significant limp I brought her in for. I was sent home with anti-inflammatory medication and left believing this was likely something minor that would improve after a few days. When Sasha did not improve, I took her to another veterinarian. That doctor performed a mobility test and was able to identify an ACL injury during the examination. That test did not require a $650 X-ray, yet it was never performed during the assessment I paid for at this hospital. I was also surprised when I later read the visit summary and found several observations and possible explanations that Dr. Cooper never discussed with me in person. Important information about my dog’s condition should have been clearly explained during the appointment, not simply added to the emailed summary afterward. Another concern was Dr. Cooper’s use of an AI tool to record and take notes during the appointment. The recording had already started before I was informed about it and asked for permission. Consent should be obtained before a recording begins, not after the fact. This experience delayed Sasha’s diagnosis, left her in pain longer, and caused me additional expenses and tremendous emotional stress. I understand that I declined the $650 X-rays, but I still paid for a veterinary assessment and expected a proper physical examination. I did not pay to receive speculation based mainly on her paw and nails, medication, and information that was never clearly communicated to me. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Angela Cooper or this location. I sincerely hope the clinic reviews its examination, communication, and recording-consent practices so another pet owner does not go through the same experience.

  Great people and awesome environment for my first vet visit with my cat! They made this awesome name art for my cat too which I appreciated so much on the way out!!! I will be returning for sure.

  I’ve been a cat owner for over 13 years now and Bond Vet at Rittenhouse is by far the best care I’ve gotten for my pets. They took me right away for an emergency walk in, and have been wonderful and attentive in their care for my rescue cat, Bluet. Everyone on staff: Eli, Chyna, Saylor, and Dr. Alex have shown such generosity towards me and Bluet and I’m beyond grateful to find a vet close by that is as thorough as they are kind. I’m going to see Dr. Alex for my other two cats as well.
