- RCRick CostelloJun 25, 20261.0Have been taking my dog there for 5 years. She had a wellness appointment/exam a few months ago. Needed a vaccine only for this visit. Scheduled the appointment, made them aware in the comments that just needed a vaccine only. Called and left a voicemail as well as emailed them the same. They called today to confirm the appointment. Told them vaccination only no exam needed. #1- they lost her records. No records on file for her at all. Said they switched medical records and lost some. Refused to just do vaccine, said need an exam. Ridiculous. Canceled appointment and found a new vet.
- GKGrace KimJun 19, 20261.0I brought my dog in for vaccine appointment(drop-off, not in-room). His scheduled drop-off time was 3:30pm. It is now 4:49pm, nearly an hour and a half later, and his vaccines haven't even been administered. When I asked for an update, the staff casually informed me that they "didn't have the chance" to give him his two quick shots over the last hour. A basic vaccine appointment should not turn into a half-day ordeal due to poor time management and overbooking. FYI, it was not general routine check-up. Just simple vaccine appointment.

The customer service is the worst I have experienced and I’ve been using a Banfield practice for quite a few years now living in different states. It made it very convenient when I was spending part of the year in one state and part of the year in another. The optimum premium wellness plan is a joke. At this Banfield, there’s no follow up. At my previous Banfield practice in Westwood, Massachusetts, they regularly called to check in on my dog and to schedule his next appointment. I called the North Wales location 20 minutes ago and I was put on hold for 20 minutes and then they never picked up and then they closed. You can’t leave a message without an extension number. This is how much they value my time and business and how much they care about my pet. Whoever ditched my call today should be fired. I am going to try another Banfield tomorrow, but I will not return to Banfield, North Wales PA

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
