  I have been a loyal Banfield customer for 9 years. I currently have 6 dogs, all who go to Banfield. My lab wasn’t acting like himself or eating, Banfield was able to get us in for a drop off appointment. Immediately, they said they needed X-rays and we’d need to renew his OWP early to the Senior dog plan (no biggie). We talked to the vet after the xray who told us “it is definitely and obstruction and if we don’t get him to a surgeon in 24 hours, he’d die.” Ok, panic sets in. We told the vet our budget and they knew a few surgeons in that price range but none of them had openings. They sent us to BluePearl even though they were slightly over our budget, but we figured we’d make it work. As we were pulling into BluePearl, Banfield calls and tells me they found a “surgeon” willing to do the operation well within our price range. I thanked them a million times as we headed there. The “surgeon” was not in fact, a surgeon at all, just another vet clinic 😡 To top it off, they did their own tests and THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO OBSTRUCTION. He has a stomach virus and was cured with one shot of Zofran. Now, it could take a little while for him to fully feel like himself but he came home, ate and played. He’s his happy self again. Banfield completely lied to me, told me one of my best friend’s lives was in imminent danger and had us driving around, paying other vets for a condition they should have been qualified to treat. I am not going to Banfield anymore and I am slowly in the process of moving vets as each dogs’ plans expire. Shame on you for what you put us through. Please, do not go here, they are either scammers or incompetent.

  I would recommend Banfield monaca to any pet parent. My cat mister has been in kidney failure for a few months and after already being cared for there earlier this month. I knew today I would have to say goodbye. I called and they fit him in immediately. When I arrived they already had a quiet dim lit room ready for him and they took us back as soon as I checked him in. The staff and the doctor were very comforting and explained everything simply and gave me as much time as I needed with him to say goodbye. The actual procedure was treated with love, compassion and comfort for him and I was able to watch him pass free of pain or fear. They have a very compassionate staff. And made this terrible day a lot easier.

  We had to put our dog down. They were very kind, compassionate, and explained everything. They gave us as much time as we wanted to say goodbye and were very patient. Made a pawprint for us and clipped some hair for an ornament we are getting. Very professional.
