  I’ve been sitting on this review for a while because I genuinely did not want to bash a company or an individual. Me and my husband have been taking our dog to Petco in Media for years I’m also not looking to gain anything from writing this. However, after thinking about my experience, I decided it was important to speak up and warn other pet owners so they can hopefully avoid experiencing the same issues. My experience with Taylor, was extremely disappointing from start to finish. When I asked who the manager was, Taylor identified herself as the manager, which made it even worse. When I picked up my dog, I was shocked by how quickly the entire grooming service had been completed. I asked Taylor if my dog had actually received all of the services that were supposed to be included. Instead of simply reassuring me or explaining what had been done, she acted as though it was ridiculous that I would even question whether everything had been completed in such a short amount of time. My concern was not about how quickly someone could technically groom a dog. My concern was whether my dog was actually being given the time, attention, and care that a grooming service requires. I would much rather have someone take their time and provide a quality groom than rush my dog through the appointment just to get them finished quickly. Rushing a dog through a grooming service can create unnecessary stress, and proper handling should always be a priority. In my case, my dog came out visibly uncomfortable and stressed, and the haircut itself reflected how rushed the service appeared to be. The haircut was poorly done, and my dog still had eye crust left around the eyes. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was something I witnessed while I was shopping. I walked past the grooming salon window and saw Taylor yelling at another dog. Watching a manager interact with a dog that way was extremely uncomfortable to witness, especially when that person is supposed to be responsible for the care and handling of customers’ pets. The customer service I received from Taylor was just as concerning. As the manager, she is the person representing the salon and is one of the first people customers encounter. I would expect someone in that position to be professional, well put together, respectful, patient, and welcoming. Instead, I experienced an attitude that came across as rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I’m not writing this review to attack Taylor or the company. I’m writing it because I believe pet owners have a right to know about experiences like this before trusting someone with their dog. I would personally never recommend going to this salon based on my experience with Taylor... Pet owners deserve better, and our dogs deserve to be handled with patience and care.

  Terrible experience at my dog's grooming appointment. The woman working there was rude, passive aggressive and insulted my dog. I left before we could even check him in, it was that bad. Definitely never going back. And we had been coming to Petco for years! Not sure what is going on over there but they certainly lost a customer in me.

  The animals are cared for properly. They have bearded dragons co housed which is a big no no and they have calcium sand as a substrate for them which is another big no no . Thats the worst substrate that could be used for them .

  I can't believe Petco still sells shock and prong collars. They should be ashamed of themselves. I had hoped that with them recently being banned against Europe that some American companiesifht start to show they care about animal welfare enough to stop selling them. But I guess not; profits are more important to Petco than the well-being of dogs.
