  I was in the area and stopped in the store on 8/14 around 5:30 to ask if there was anyone there to speak about an issue I had with an outside pharmacy sending a prescription in to the Vetco vet services or if I had to call a number. I assumed I would have to call someone since the vets are usually there on certain weekends and probably don't handle issues in the store, but I figured I'd check because you never know and it usually doesn't hurt to ask. The associate, after being kind to the customer prior to me, immediately changed her demeanor upon looking at me. I asked if there was anyone there to talk about an issue with a prescription that was called in to the vet, or if I had to call a number. She thought I was asking about a prescription from Petco and that I thought the pharmacy was in the store. She became very confrontational and condescending repeatedly telling me they have no pharmacy or vet services. I kept trying to clarify the situation but she was very confused and angry. When she said they have no vet services I pointed to the area where they do the Vetco service and told her I bring my dog right there. She then says 'oh you mean the Vetco', and proceeds to give me a number to call. How does, we provide no vet services, turn into there is a Vetco? No apology, and I think she still has no idea what she did. Also, you do have an online pharmacy as well. I at no time was under the impression that the pharmacy was in your store, that was the associate's misunderstanding. However, it does not matter, you do not speak to a customer that way, in that tone, not to mention while you are the one that is confused. The correct answer to my question was, "Just call this number for any vet or pharmacy related issues".

  Bought a pet cage for a new rescue dog. Never opened as rescue deal fell thru. Tried to return next day refused to accept return even with receipt and unopened. Called corporate headquarters and they said they would return money. They never did. Will never buy here again

  Poor inventory.... as is the case with all stores. Im seeing all the negative reviews. I saw a parrot there yesterday that looks in poor condition. Its been there two years. I considered saving it. I've had many birds. Im 70 so the bird might out live me. I think your pricing on this poor creature should be reduced. I know some of these birds only make it 15 in captivity... this bird has less than that time left. If i told them I let birds free range in my home aviary where they are happy, Im sure theyd prevent my purchasing the sad cold birds.... the manager really shouldn't be so judgemental. My first visit and my last visit... no stock. Sad birds. The parakeets were all tucked under their wings because they were cold..... Get a grip manager....

  Always clean but lack of stock is something that happens frequently. Their fish are decently taken care of but the tanks still have dead or sick fish that don't get quarantined. Staff is friendly, definitely wish there was more variety in options for things that aren't cat and dog. Their reptile selection is decent but their aquarium accessory selection is leaving a lot to be desired for filters, plant holders, etc.
