- KMKelly MizgorskiApr 25, 20262.0I had a really disappointing experience at Petco today. I encouraged my 5 year old daughter to ask an employee a question as a way to build her confidence. Instead of responding kindly, two employees stood in front of her saying they couldn’t understand her to each other, without really trying to engage or include me. She’s old enough to understand and it felt dismissive and hurtful. One employee did come over and help us, but it felt reluctant. Unfortunately, many of the snails we were looking for appeared to be dead or not well maintained. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this felt important. A little patience and kindness-especially toward kids goes a long way.

We brought in our 40 lb labradoodle, Fredy, and our 7 lb yorkiepoo, Rebel. Danielle groomed both of them and did a beautiful job.. I don’t usually write reviews, but Danielle truly stands out. She is one of the most compassionate and thoughtful groomers I’ve ever met. Today was Rebel’s final grooming appointment. She was recently diagnosed with a neurological disorder that will eventually lead to paralysis, and it’s been absolutely heartbreaking for our family. Talking through it with Danielle, we both found ourselves in tears. Even though she’s only groomed Rebel twice, you can just tell how much she truly cares. She treated Rebel with so much love and gentleness, and she gave me space to feel all the emotions that came with today. Rebel looks absolutely beautiful, and I’m so thankful for the way Danielle took care of my baby girl. It meant more than she probably knows.
