Unacceptable Contamination, Maggots in Dubia Roaches
I purchased a container of Dubia roaches from this location and I was disgusted to find that the container was contaminated with live maggots. This is a severe quality control issue and a safety hazard for anyone feeding their pets.
Please check your live food stock carefully before purchasing from here. I will not be buying live feeders from this location again.

The store associates were very kind, and knowledgeable. They were ready to share lots of tips and information about the two parakeets I purchased. It was a very clean store, and a peaceful visit. The animals were energetic and seemed healthy. I would recommend this petco to anyone purchasing pets and/or pet supplies.

I would give this location ZERO stars if I could. I drove 45 minutes each way with my two dogs for grooming appointments I had booked in advance, only to be treated disrespectfully and ultimately turned away.
The problems started immediately. Before even asking for vaccination records, I was confronted about why I booked my dogs separately instead of together and told that doing so put the groomer’s schedule behind. I explained that I TRIED to book them together, but THEIR system would not allow it. I was told there “wasn’t availability” to book them together. My question was simple: if there was no availability, why did your system allow me to book both appointments separately? I was told it “creates issues” for them and not to do it next time. Despite being reprimanded for something their own booking system allowed, I remained cooperative.
Then they requested the rabies records. I immediately provided them. My two dogs were vaccinated at a local municipal rabies clinic, where the forms are handwritten and the official vaccine information/sticker is placed on the paperwork.
The employees questioned the records because they were handwritten. I called the veterinary office where they confirmed the vets license and explained that they do not keep separate records from these clinics because the paperwork is provided to the pet owner. Instead of accepting that explanation, an employee actually told me the paperwork “looks like forgery.”
I called the town and Today I received a return call from the municipality regarding what happened. They CHECKED THEIR RECORDS and confirmed that BOTH of my dogs are recorded under my name and appeared as vaccinated for Rabies. They also told me they did not understand why there was an issue. They explained that records from these clinics ARE handwritten because they obviously cannot predict which residents will show up for a clinic beforehand. I was also told that if this ever happens again, I should contact the municipality during business hours so THEY can address the issue directly with the company.
So not only were my dogs legitimately vaccinated, but the municipality has now independently confirmed that BOTH DOGS ARE IN THEIR RECORDS.
After I drove 45 minutes, I was first blamed for their booking system, then had legitimate vaccination records questioned, had the veterinary office contacted, and was ultimately turned away while an employee suggested my documentation looked forged.
If “corporate policy” prohibits handwritten municipal vaccination records, that needs to be CLEARLY disclosed BEFORE customers are allowed to book appointments. Customers should not drive 90 minutes round-trip only to discover an undisclosed documentation requirement upon arrival, received rude treatment a d be refused service.
I arrived for scheduled appointments, brought the vaccination documentation issued to me, cooperated with their verification attempt, and have now received direct confirmation from the municipality that my dogs are in their records.
I left with two ungroomed dogs after wasting approximately 90 minutes driving because of a problem that should never have occurred.
If your booking system creates scheduling problems, FIX THE SYSTEM. If certain legitimate municipal vaccination records are unacceptable, DISCLOSE THAT BEFORE ACCEPTING APPOINTMENTS. And employees should think very carefully before suggesting that a customer’s legitimate vaccination records “look like forgery.” and if they simply don't want to work then don't post the open hours service.
Absolutely unacceptable experience. I will not return. Nor do I recommend anyone to use their grooming services. If this is how they treat a new customer who was booked for a more than $250 service, I can't even imagine how they treat animals.
