- CWCheryl WrightMay 27, 20261.0Today I had a rotten experience at the Dubois Petco. I came to the store to buy two small goldfish. I have a 40 gallon tank, with one goldfish living in it. The manager, Courtney, refused to sell me two goldfish, claiming the tank wasn’t large enough for three fish. I realize, and appreciate that they are all about the safety and care of the animals they sell, but this is completely absurd. I am very experienced with fish, and other animals. My animals are well taken care of, and loved. The manager has a “know-it-all”, terrible attitude. Not that you, “The Owner” care at all, but she is driving away your business, over nonsense. Clearly that means nothing to you. After receiving this ridiculous refusal of sale and rotten attitude from her, I simply drove a mile up the road, and bought my fish elsewhere. No big deal to me. Perhaps you could train and coach your management team on de-escalation techniques and how to treat customers respectfully. You know, like decent human beings should behave.
