  The Animal Hospital at Thorndale is not only personable, understanding, patient, but is incredibly thorough with their exams. The doctors that I have seen, since bringing not only my personal two cats, but my family’s cat colony, dogs, and ferrets, to the clinic have been incredible; inquisitive, able to recall previous symptoms and concerns from prior visits, asking questions about every furry family member, and (most importantly!) not at all dismissive with concerns. We made the official switch years ago, and the care that we receive is a complete 180° in the right direction compared to the previous team. This team has not only a. repaired a broken arm on my kitten when she was much younger (Thank you, Dr. Hobday!), b. treated all of our ferrets who had insulinoma, and c. continued to look after my parent’s cats with diabetes, a heart condition, and another with kidney failure to ensure both are comfortable and symptom free for the remainder of their golden years, but they have also taken each of my concerns with my own cat seriously. Our cat, Kirby, is certainly an anomaly, with weird seizure like episodes, asthma, and as of last week, a potential UTI, Kirby is rather a popular patient amongst the team. Dr Java was incredibly understanding with my concerns about Kirby’s behavior changes and lack of peeing. Instead of just looking him over after discovering that he did not have a urinary block, she made the decision of having him take antibiotics and pain meds to ensure nothing was wrong. Within his first doses, he was completely back to his bubbly self! Every single technician is kind, accommodating during emergencies, and happy to assist you. I willingly drive from Lancaster for visits as I cannot stress how wonderful this team is for vet care. Dr Java and Dr Hobday have especially gone above and beyond to ensure that our babies are safe, happy, and especially healthy.

  We started using AHAT 2 years ago when we moved into the area as the vet for our 2 dogs. When one of our dogs recently had a health scare, the AHAT team was really on the ball. Both professional and compassionate. The entire front desk staff and all technicians were great to work with as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great vet.

  BEST VET!! BEST VET!! BEST VET!! I feel very safe and confident bringing my animals here. I was in tears leaving the facility because they are just that wonderful. I started bringing my dogs here a few months ago and was blown away by the level of care, so I decided to try bringing my cat who hates vet visits, to see if they might be a better fit. At other places they man handled him in a separate room where I hear him screaming over and over, and they never helped clean him up after, whether he pooped or peed. I always left feeling like they hated him and had no time for him. BUT NOT HERE! They allowed me to choose where to evaluate him, and they did clean up after him!! They reassured me the whole way through and it was by far the best vet visit he has ever had. Everything about this place has made a wonderful impact on me and the lives of my animals. They really care about animals here. You will not be disappointed!

  Animal Hospital at Thorndale saved my dog. After we went to a well known emergency clinic twice (without resolution and misdiagnosis), we met with Dr. Java. Zeus was thoroughly examined and it was determined that his airway was compromised likely causing the core issues that he was experiencing. Surgery was performed promptly. Zeus was well looked after and the team has checked up on him numerous times. A week later, he is doing great! I can’t thank Dr. Java and team enough.

  I am a long time pet owner who has had the privlegde of old school vet care and emergency care. Upon taking one of my pets for a check up I noticed they did not pat the body down, check the teeth and so on. What they did do is scoop the pet away to another room to administer a shot. Everytime I have taken a pet to this vet they scoop the pet away to another room to perform routine vaccines. They insist my pets do not have any type of worms. But I still see signs of the very real possibility of tapeworm infection. I understand tapeworms can be hard to detect. Rather than explain that to me they insisted a completely different issue causing the symptoms. After a number of other discrepencies I decided to get a second opinion. The other issue they insisted my pet suffered ftom is not the issue. It is in fact not the case and since they performed a procedure to eleviate the symptoms and reported to me in fact that this was the issue; after performing that procedure it would be clear to them that in fact it is not the issue. The issue is tapeworms. They did not treat my pet for tapeworms because the stool samples keep coming back negative. The worm testing costs are outrageous. The hospital apparently does not have the lab equipment for worn detection. The stool samples get sent to outside lab. Although I have never seen those test results. My pet has a tooth that is misaligned no one bothered to check the mouth and teeth. The flea options are a rip off! I purchased a 3 month protection option for less than their one month application. I have only skimmed the surface of my observations. Its refreshing the woman in reception are so kind and accomodating. But I feel that is designed to keep scrutiny to minimal. To sum up they seem to be out for profits and being deceptive is an acceptable business practice. Professional integrity is not the priority. I am left feeling very disappointed in this group of lol professiinals, misled, lied to are not business practices that I will return too. Nor would I recommend anyone with pets to select this animal hospital for their pets care. This response is to the damage control nanagement below. I know what I was told by your vets and it is in false. Making it blatantly obvious the "care" provided is profit driven.
