  I always get great service when I buy my aquarium supplies. The young lady in the aquarium department in the morning is fabulous. She’s always there to help me. She is very friendly and knowledgeable, and it is a pleasure to deal with her

  Petco is my go to store when I need something quick for my dog. Sometimes they have what I need and sometimes they don't, but Associates do go beyond their duty to make the customer happy.

  3 stars; 2 removed for each bad experience. Here's the thing, I don't normally review unless it's exceptionally good because I like supporting businesses that way, but twice now I've had issues at this location with BOPUS (buy online, pick up in store). Online, there's an option for curbside pickup, which is a great option for me on my work from home days if I need something in a pinch. So today, was the second time I've had issue. The first time, I let it go, but today was particularly egregious. I called several times to try to get an update on my order and no one was available to answer my call which is fine. Petco typically has the orders ready within 1 to 2 hours. At the 2.5 hour mark, I tried again, no one was available to answer my call. I call again, select customer service instead, and Wendy answered. I politely asked for a status update and then offered to come in and help her pick my item because she seemed overwhelmed and Wendy was particularly upset about being short staffed. I get it. It's annoying when someone calls out and you don't have enough people. As I was trying to offer help and explanation, she kept raising her voice, talking over me, and getting frustrated with me on the phone. Again, I'm understanding you're short staffed, I'm offering to help. Anyway, I resolve to just go in and try to find her and help. I overhear her say a rude comment to the cashier about me when putting my order into the cage. Still I go and ask for my order. The whole thing just left a bad taste for me, just turn off the option for curbside pickup if you're short staffed (they do that in Philly and State College, you can do it here in Allentown) and maybe watch what you say about customers because they could be in earshot. I'm going to just have my orders delivered to my home from now on.
