  I'm pretty angry right now. The cashier suckered me into a "Pet Perks" thing, told me I can cancel anytime... Here I am fighting them trying to charge me $24.99 until May 2027, which I never agreed to. She is like "you can cancel the renewal anytime..." Excuse me? I didn't even want this in the first place. He literally talked me into it and offered a discount. This is shady business.

  Petco mobile vaccine clinic was such a clown show. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere, anywhere else. I signed up online for an "appointment," and arrived 10 minutes early. On the way into the store, we were 'greeted' by an employee who proceeded to monopolize our time while two other customers came in with their dogs, also for the vaccine clinic. I had to ask twice-- where do we go for our vaccine appointment? We got directed "around the corner," which turned out to just be a line. I asked if I was in the right place for my appointment, and was castigated by the staffer that "EVERYBODY HAS AN APPOINTMENT." Apparently I am expected to know exactly how the vaccine clinic operates, and that asking questions is frowned upon. So, because of the 'greeter' at the front door, I was now an additional two positions back in the 'appointments mean basically nothing' line. After waiting for my turn for intake, I showed the staffer my dog's prior records on my phone (yeah, I should have printed them out). The staffer didn't seem to be able to correctly read the records (wrong dates, wrong shot details, etc), so I zoomed in on them so she could hopefully see the information more clearly. At which point, she again stated incorrect information, so I asked her to look again at the zoomed screen. The staffer then verbally lashed out by claiming I "demanded" she read the information. Demand? Definitely not, but I will say that maybe it would have been worthwhile to actually read the info instead of repeatedly asserting things that were CLEARLY documented otherwise. The previous vaccine was a 3-year dose. It says literally that on the documentation on veterinary letterhead. The date was September, not May. And then exascerberating things by wanting to argue with me about words that are right on the receipt. Customers don't deserve to be abused. Customers don't deserve to be disrespected. So I left. On the way out, I asked for the store manager. Guess who? They guy who held us up on the way in. His 'managerial' response? "Sorry." So, when I say 'manager,' I mean "person lacking managerial skills who is probably just they guy who was handed front door keys." There are, of course, more details. But this review doesn't need to be a book. The essence of the experience is accurately described. Petco Corporate, you surely have video from the store. Check my facts. See if you think I deserved to be abused and condescended (BTW, the answer is always No. Always.). If you see me in this store again, I am probably lost or have been abducted. Again, save yourself the heartburn of having to deal with this incompetent, condescending clown show and go somewhere else. Update: I received a response to this review via Google requesting I provided them an email address to which they could respond further, and provided me a "case number" to reference. I replied promptly, referencing that case number. It's been 2 weeks, and no response whatsoever. They did, however, sign that email address up for what has become DAILY email marketing spam, thus reinforcing my store experience further. Congratulations, Petco. You managed to damage your brand even further.

  Store was well stocked and organized but the guy that was working the front area seemed to be irritated by the fact that we went up to the register while he was stocking product.

  I guess now the animal mistreatment is just blatant. Frogs are kept in small, plastic boxes with dry dirt, no humidity, and no water. They sit on the shelf like merchandise with no security - any kid could tap, shake, or just take the box. The frogs used to be kept in reptile habitats with adequate heat, lighting, and humidity. I called Petco corporate to report this and no one ever returned my call. I will be following up with them on this as it is disgusting how animals are treated as merchandise.
