I take my two dogs to be groomed at Petco once a month. nice staff and experienced groomers. only issue I've had is them getting my dogs in on-time even having a scheduled appointment. one of my dogs shakes like a leaf and waiting 10 minutes past our scheduled time makes a huge difference for his anxiety. luckily, that little pup is always scheduled with the same groomer and that helps calm his anxiety. both pups come home clean and happy!

Don’t order pick up they will have you waiting for over 20 minutes then you have to get down with your over stimulated kid who loves to elope and pick up your order in store and then when you finally get in your car they walk out with some ones order who barely got there

It should not take 3 hours to groom a dog.

I am extremely upset and honestly shocked by my experience with this Petco grooming service. I brought both of my dogs in for grooming on March 29th. Initially, I planned to bring them an hour apart, but the groomer requested that I bring them together. I agreed, and now I deeply regret that decision. My dog Hinata only needed a bath with nail trimming, but came home with two broken teeth with exposed pulp and visible bleeding. This is not something minor — this is a serious injury that caused her significant pain and required emergency veterinary care. What’s even more concerning is that no one informed me of any incident when I picked them up. I only discovered the injury myself afterward in the car on the way home. Before the appointment, she was completely fine, and we are 100% certain this happened during grooming. When I contacted the store, I was told they have video footage of the grooming session, but they refused to show it to me. If nothing went wrong, there should be no issue with transparency. Refusing to share footage only raises more concerns about what actually happened to my dog. Based on the situation, it seems possible that Hinata may have been left in a kennel for an extended period, which could have caused distress. She is not an aggressive dog, but she can become reactive in stressful environments, especially around other dogs. If she was anxious or biting at the kennel, I would have expected the staff to notice and call me immediately so I could pick her up early. Instead, it feels like she may have been left distressed, unsupervised, or not properly monitored, and no one communicated anything to me. At home, we do not give her hard toys, and she is always supervised. An injury like this would not happen under normal circumstances. As a result of this incident, Hinata is currently undergoing surgery to have both her upper and lower canine teeth on the right side removed. I trusted this place with my dogs’ safety, and they failed. Now I’m left dealing with the emotional stress and financial burden of treating an injury that should have never happened with a 4 year old dog! We are currently still waiting for a response from the store owner regarding this situation. If you care about your pet’s well-being, please think twice before bringing them here. P.s. English is not my first language, so I used AI to help me write the review.
