  We moved to Portland 10 years ago. About 9 years ago my eldest dog, Jake, abruptly showed signs something was very wrong which caught us all off guard. I had to make an appointment quickly and Cedar Mill Vet was able to see him same day. Unfortunately Jake was so much sicker than he let us believe. He went from his normal self to having trouble standing in a matter of hours. Dr. Bailey handled his care and since that day I have NEVER felt the need to look for another veterinarian. He has since cared for Jake's "sister" Ella (who passed a few years after Jake) and now Cooper, our "ferocious looking cream puff" (the real description in his chart lol). Dr. Bailey's demeanor, canine knowledge and handling as well as "bedside manner" is second to none. He is always calm and explains everything with medical precision while keeping it grounded for those of us without a medical degree. Most importantly he is, without a doubt, an empath. Every single one of my dogs have absolutely adored him which says a LOT, given how stressful the vet can be. It's not just Dr. Bailey of course, but also the techs and the admins that complete the whole experience. Words truly cannot express how deeply grateful we are for Cedar Mill Vet. They have supported our family through life’s full circle — offering gentle empathy during the passing of our beloved senior dogs and standing right beside us in celebration when a new puppy joined our home.

  They’ve canceled on me & or not called me back multiple times, the front desk/scheduling staff are also rude as hell & lack any sort of customer service. Will be going to a different veterinary clinic.

  I recently moved to Portland and brought my dog Teddy to Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital. Teddy usually gets very stressed at the vet and can be reactive, so I was honestly nervous about taking him somewhere new. But everyone there made the whole process so much easier. From the doctor to the staff and reception team, everyone was kind, patient, and understanding. They helped Teddy feel as comfortable as possible, and they made me feel much calmer too. It means a lot to know I can bring him to a clinic where he is treated with care and where the team understands anxious or reactive dogs. It was absolutely worth driving several miles to come here. I’m really grateful for such a positive experience.
