- JOJennifer Okesson5 days ago2.0Needed to get in asap and made an appointment online for same day...seemed toooo good to be true...and it was too good to be true..I scheduled a slot for 12:30pm. Got there and was informed I had no appointment today and they don't even take appointments 12pm-2pm..I totally get that and they did nothing wrong to my pet but really need to fix their online scheduling..I stressed my furr baby out way to much already and now get turned down for the appointment I set up.

- RKRozanna KrebsJul 24, 20264.0I have had Banfield pet coverage for over 3 decades. I started my pets' care at their main office off of 82nd in Portland and then in Gresham Oregon. I've had care for my daughters rabbits as well as our dogs from small pure breed to medium catch-all breeds (don't like using the word mutt). They have helped a great deal with preventative care and in the long run it's the kind of care that we as people are encouraged to seek. I have had immediate concerns from life threatening allergic reactions to the common ear infection with every event treated with kindness, care and the professionalism that you would expect receive. They are full of praises and pets for all the pets I have brought through over the years. And when the end of life comes to be, the staff are comforting and full of quiet kind words and Kleenex. Maybe you are thinking why are her words of review so strong yet she only gives a 4 out of 5? It's because I feel that no matter how great your work is there is always room for improvement. The staff of Banfield work hard from the front desk, the exam rooms, the daytime care during a procedure and the telephone followups. In 30 years I have found 1 or 2 exam rooms unclean ( extra dog hairs on the floor ), otherwise the environment is always clean, always happy and I will always have them care for my family member pets in addition to recommending them to family and friends. What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
