- EYEliza Y.Aug 8, 20261.0I am going to write it again because I am really serious about this. Banfield got me to sign up for a second time for the Wellness plan for my rescue dog. I called several times to update my card and instead of contacted me, they sent me to collections. I called and they KNEW I WANTED TO MAKE THE PAYMENT AND THEY WOULDNT CHARGE THE CARD WHEN I CALLED. They don’t care about my dog,they care about money. Mind you they want you to pay the entire year without giving any treatment to your animal so you’re out $800 while you’re still having to go find vet services for your pet. And if they keep deleting my reviews, I’m just going to be putting it everywhere else like social media where there’s thousands of people.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
