Both techs were amazing as always. I am just upset due to the lack of communication and unnecessary rudeness that was given to me. I have a puppy and am a new dog owner, trying to find the most affordable care I chose Vetco. Very busy schedule and have a toddler as well, upon buying the package for the first time in May, I was not told that I had to get everything done within a 3 month span. I wish I would’ve known that before purchasing and committing so quickly. Started a new job in June and went from part time to full time in less than a month so my schedule is very sporadic. I’m aware that unless my dog is fully vaccinated it’s not safe to bring him to parks or around any other dogs who aren’t vaccinated. Well at today’s visit they told me everything would have to be out of pocket again due to it being month 4 and he has to restart everything. I said ok that’s fine and just told them I will get what is needed and priority for today (rabies bc it’s legally required & nexguard due to minor flea problem)since that’s all I can afford to pay for now. Dr Graff then asked in a condescending tone are you not giving bordetella as well? I told her no because all I could afford today was rabies and nexguard. She started to scold me about how the vaccines need to be given within a time span of 3 months and it’s not effective if not done like that, and asked if I even know what parvo is, implying that I was uneducated. Which if that was the case TEACH me instead of insulting me. I felt it was very unnecessary because she could’ve told me and taught rather than be super rude about it. She then yelled at me to pick my puppy up off the floor since I don’t know who’s dog is and isn’t vaccinated. It made me want to cry lol. Last time I’ll be at vetco, from here on out I will make accommodations and save my money to go to an actual clinic. Thank you to the techs and staff though. Always appreciate you guys.

The vet-techs themselves were awesome. Everyone was super kind and treated my dog well. I'm giving a 3 stars because the vaccination clinic itself was absolute chaos.
The staff asked I wait within the Petco store aisles to be triaged, then loop around more store aisles to wait in line to checkin, and then wait again to be seen. There was no signage except for a traffic cone plopped in the middle of the store where we were directed to wait. While this wait/triage/wait/checkin/wait situation was happening, regular customers with their own dogs (and other Petco employees trying to do their jobs) were weaving in and out of me and others waiting for the vaccine clinic. It was really chaotic and there didn't seem to be place to stand where I wasn't in the way of someone at all times.
When it was time for vaccines, my dog was set on top of a makeshift table (again in an aisle of the Petco store), and had his blood drawn/was given his shots. He was really stressed and distracted, but we got the job done. We were then told to hangout (in another aisle) and wait for the blood results and our prescription (at another makeshift table in the same aisle).
I don't understand why there wasn't an option to actually have my dog seen in an exam room and then administer the quick 1-2 minute vaccines, before being excused. It seems it would prevent a lot of stress/anxiety for the dogs coming in for routine checkups.
I'd recommend this vaccine clinic rodeo if you're dog isn't anxious, because again, the techs themselves were great.
