If I could give 0/5 I would. NEVER take your pet here. The rooms were dirty and had extra dog toe nails laying under the chairs which I hope was from a nail clipping? I scheduled an emergency same day visit becuase my dog was crying in pain and wouldnt let me touch his hind side. They didn't listen to me when I described my dogs issues - instead were more interested in selling me heart worm medications (which he is already on) and wellness plans which we 1000000% will not take. The nurse took my dog back to the back without actually investigating him or taking any vitals or telling me what she thought was wrong. I could hear her through the door describe the issue wrong to the doctor. She clearly hadnt listened to me and instead said he was "sensitive" and was there for a wellness check and refused medication when I clearly described that he is not a sensitive dog and instead was in pain. I saw through the window in the door they called 3 people over to pin him to the ground while he screamed so they could lift his tail to take his temperature. The vet then came out and said he was "too sensitive and scared" and they needed to sedate him.... I asked what they thought and why they wanted to do that before they did it? I said no hes not sensitive hes trying to tell you something which you obviously arent listening to and said enough was enough. I went into the back and took my dog. We went to the ER down the street where they listened to both me and him, did a full work up and saw he had a broken tail. He was not being sensitive these vets DID NOT LISTEN to me or my dog. I WOULD NEVER TAKE AN ANIMAL HERE. They clearly are not interested in caring for pets. They did more harm then help and i'm just hopeful that my sweet dog that wasnt scared of the vet before isn't scared for life....

I took my puppy here for the first time to get a check up especially since she was having urine issues she Showed symptoms of a UTI Anyways the staff there was very cold uninformative not helpful. So I already had a bad feeling about leaving her and I explained everything to the assistant And so they were going to do a urine test and then She said she was gonna take my puppy for 3 to 4 hours And I asked her if the doctor was gonna come out to speak to her since I am not an expert and I suggested that you’re in analysis because she shows symptoms of UTI but it could be Something else She said the doctor would evaluate her then give me a call. Anyways she was there for 5 Hours and I had told them she had an eight this morning so I called to see if I could drop off some food see if everything was good. They told me her urine was clean but she did have some other symptoms of another infection But this could have been avoided if the doctor would’ve talked to me in the first place and recommended different testing and now they want to charge me $80 for other test which is ridiculous it should be included in the analysis $140. In other vets I always speak to the doctor there. He also said if they needed to save her life it would be $600 for a CPR. It just seems like it’s just a money gabber vet. In the bill they also included a different exam for cyst that they didn’t mention to me. In the end they didn’t even give me a receipt Or greeted me goodbye or said thank you. And my puppy was shaking when they came out with her.

Frequently Asked Questions About Banfield Pet Hospital
Does Banfield provide emergency care services?
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
Can I get veterinary care online?
To help pets and their people stay healthy, Banfield clients who have Optimum Wellness Plans® can get remote general pet care advice and triage support directly from a veterinarian 24/7 through Vet Chat™ on the Banfield app.
What preventive pet health care services does Banfield offer?
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including:
• Vaccinations
• Dental Care
• Parasite Control

• Behavioral Counseling
• Comprehensive Examinations
What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
