At the appointment dr Bentley was very thorough with her physical exam and questions. And answered every question I had (worried pet dad). She recommended we do bloodwork to start. Bloodwork came back normal. She then recommended X-rays, MY FUR BABY HAD A OBSTRUCTION! She quickly came up with a treatment plan and recommended surgeons to me. Forever grateful for her and saving my babies life ❤️
- PEPhilip EvansSep 11, 20261.0Banfield Pet Hospital Management, I am writing to express my severe disappointment and frustration regarding the experience my partner and I had today at your Memorial Drive location in Oklahoma City. We brought our Doberman in to be evaluated for skin irritation. As dedicated pet owners, our primary goal is to ensure she receives proper medical care and that any health concerns are addressed thoroughly and compassionately. Unfortunately, the treatment we received from the attending veterinarian, Heather Bentley, was completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. During the examination, Ms. Bentley offhandedly mentioned cancer without offering any diagnostic rationale, medical context, or supporting explanation. When we asked follow-up questions to understand what might be causing the irritation and what steps we should take, Ms Bentley offered no clear answers, proposed no treatment or action plan, and appeared visibly annoyed by our reasonable questions. When we advocated for our dog and requested to speak with another staff member for a second opinion, ms Bentley became irate, waved her arms at us, and rudely told us to leave.Dropping an alarming term like "cancer" without explanation, refusing to provide a clear medical evaluation, and behaving aggressively toward clients who ask basic questions about their pet's health is entirely unacceptable. We pay for professional veterinary services and expect a standard of care that includes clear communication, basic medical competence, and respectful treatment. We request that a manager contact us immediately to discuss this incident, how it will be addressed internally, and how we can safely transition our dog's care to ensure she receives the medical attention she needs.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
