  Found this hospital online I took my dog here in a pinch. I actually had an appointment to go to, so I was able to drop her off and she was able to get her care while I was at my appointment which I thought was fabulous. The communication between me and the staff while I was at my appointment was amazing. Truly would recommend this hospital! We will definitely be back. Thanks for taking good care of my old lady Lila Marie.

  Our dog had surgery there on a Friday for a leg mass removal. Over the weekend she started to have wet stool and stopped eating. I called first thing Monday and was told a vet wouldn’t be in till Wednesday or Thursday and that they do not have a vet on call for issues or questions that may arise (even for following a procedure). I was told that the goal of their office was to book up as many daily appointments as possible, not to have same day appointments. Basically, we were left without follow-up care, guidance, or concern. They do not cate about your pet.

  If you have a senior dog, take caution and go somewhere else. Anytime I call, I am on hold for 30 plus minutes, when I leave a voicemail, I do not get a call back, and when I am told I will get a call back, I never do. This has happened for simple things like prescription refills to X-rays. I brought my dog in for an emergency and was told that my dog may have a disease that would cause him to be paralyzed. I paid $800 for x-rays and was told we would work on a treatment plan within 3-5 days. I did not receive any information about the x-ray results for 3 weeks and it was only after I called on 5 different occasions. It turns out the X-rays were lost and my file was sent to a new Banfield hours away. A few days ago, I called to get a refill on my prescription for my dog’s pain management medication. I was told I would receive a call later that day to pick up the medication. After not hearing back for days, I called again was on hold for 50 minutes to which the worker said “I’m the only one working the front desk, always, so you are going to have to wait”. I will be cancelling my membership and going to a new clinic that will prioritize my pet and his needs.

  I’ve been calling to try and get a refill on antibiotics for my dog for about 2-3 weeks now. Every time I call, I get sent to a voicemail. I leave a voicemail and I’ve never gotten a call back. I continue to call and get nothing. I ended up ordering the meds off chewy but they still need vet approval. It’s been 3 days now and they’re still waiting on the approval. My dog is going to end up getting a serious infection on his paws. Banfield in westlake, oh specifically has been very unprofessional and it’s unacceptable
