This is how I brought my perfectly healthy cat to Banfield for a routine vaccine and left with a dead cat.
The clinic was extremely busy, waited at the front desk and another 30 min after we were roomed. A tech then took my cat to the back to be vaccinated and examined in the back outside of view. Spoke very briefly with the vet who gave my cat back in his carrier and got rushed to check out. While we were driving home, my cat had agonal gasps and stopped responding. We turned around and drove back and he was treated for anaphylaxis and given CPR but to no avail. They covered the cost of cremation but still charged me several hundred dollars for CPR, which kind of rubbed salt on the wound.
While it likely was a freak accident unless there was something wrong with the vaccine they gave him and I don’t blame the vet directly, I do think that they are an operation that churns patients in and out. I don’t like that even if you schedule an in room visit, everything is handled in a back room out of view. The wait time was long but actual face to face was very brief. And maybe if we were asked to monitor him at the clinic for a few more minutes after being vaccinated, he would not have had as many delays to his care. All in all, this is the kind of place where you get what you pay for, and not in a good way.

Absolutely unacceptable.
They confirmed my appointment the same morning, then canceled it just few hours before my appointment, even though my dog’s paw was bleeding. They offered zero help and simply told me to call other locations myself.
A complete waste of time and a shocking lack of responsibility. Never coming back.

Don’t go to Banfield. My former roommate and I are having a difficult time trying to cancel a plan because it’s under my name but when we tried to split it so that she would have her own account, we got the run around and no clear answers and she can’t cancel her plan but I have no access to her things, it’s been 5 years of this and no real solutions except finger pointing to the other person . It’s a complete scam and I would not recommend it

Very disappointed with today's visit. I scheduled appointments for both of my dogs but was told I had to choose which one would be seen because of the 30-minute appointment policy, even though they have been seen together before.
What was most frustrating was the lack of effort and empathy by the front desk rep (on 7/12/26) to offer alternatives solutions since I was already there with both dogs. She didn't checked with the veterinarian before me making the decision to leave.
If the 30-minute policy is truly enforced, it should work both ways. I've waited 20–45 minutes past my appointment time on previous visits. Both of my dogs have been seeing at the same time before, I also request in-room exams, yet my dogs are still taken to the back to complete their exam.
Poor communication, inconsistent policies, and disappointing customer service in this office. Re train your staff, some people are making an effort to care for their pets when their working scheduled is limited!

The people are nice but if you travel and need specific documentation they are simply not knowledgeable about that. Vet signatures may or may not be on rabies vaccination paperwork as required for travel. Also have a reactive dog and were providing an extremely low dosage of medications and didn't adjust it last time I went in and had followed instructions. Upper Arlington Pet Hospital is right by them and much more knowledgeable.

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
