  Visited this “vet hospital” on Wednesday July 15th because my cat was vomiting. Even though this hellish day last about 8 hours, I will summarize the events that occurred as quickly as I am able to. I approved this clinic to take an x ray of my cat, I was told she had an intestinal blockage from a foreign object and needed an emergency surgery that I was quoted to be $6,000-$12,000. I called off work for the day because of the emotional turmoil I was experiencing and because I thought my cat needed all of my attention. The vet saw the emotional distress I was in, bawling my eyes out and worried sick for my cat. I was told they could perform the surgery the next day which I declined due to the alleged severity of my cat’s condition and I took her to west park animal hospital where I was quoted $3,000-$5,000 for the same surgery before I even walked in the door. Once I got to west park, they examined the single x ray taken by Vetco and told me they saw nothing indicating an intestinal blockage or the need for surgery. Given my confusion with the differing opinions, they offered to take a more in depth 3 series x ray at different angles to confirm, which I approved, and again, was told that after further review and the third opinion of a radiologist, there was no blockage and she did not need surgery. She was diagnosed with IBD and sent home with an anti-nausea shot. So all in all, thanks to this clinic, I spent over $1,000 between both clinics to be told my cat had an upset stomach. Vetco’s medical director reached out to me 10 days ago where we discussed what happened and I was told I would receive a call from someone higher up, and I’m still waiting on that phone call. Don’t waste your time, this place is despicable.

  I highly recommend this Vetco location: My dog Melvin had addison's, which means I need to bring him into the vet every 6 months for a blood panel, and everyone who works at this location are sweethearts and extremely professional. This morning I had to make a heartbreaking decision to bring my cat Gorda in for her final vet visit, and everyone made her as comfortable as possible, giving me time to hang out with her as much as I needed to in her last minutes. I was given several options for her end of life care with no pressure as to what I should choose, with excellent explanations as to what each option entailed, which I hugely appreciated. These are the hardest parts of having pets, so I really appreciated all of the kindness. Not only is Vetco relatively inexpensive compared to the handful of vets Ive been to here in Ohio and Arizona, the staff is amazing here at the Fairview Park location, and Im so grateful they were all here for me this morning for Gorda. Im looking forward to getting my dog's dental procedures done here soon, and am totally happy to keep coming back. Thanks guys ❤️

  I had such a great experience bringing my cat in for an eye injury. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and compassionate. The staff made both me and my cat feel comfortable, and they took excellent care of her throughout the visit. I really appreciated that they went above and beyond to help us find a more affordable treatment option without compromising the quality of care. It was clear that they genuinely cared about my cat’s health and wanted to do what was best for her. The clinic was very clean, organized, and professional, and every member of the team was friendly and helpful. I’m so grateful for the care they provided and would highly recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy vet!
