  ****Trigger warning: deceased animal***** I don't even know where to start, but I'm DONE with the Petco in Fairfield. That place is absolutely neglectful and does not care about the animals in their care. A few weeks ago I went in there and they have these "desktop" pacman frogs. There was a Pacman frog I noticed that was really struggling. It had lost a lot of weight, dead crickets in the cage. The poor thing was lethargic. It needed help! Like to the vet ASAP. When I brought it to the store clerk's attention, she said "Well it's a baby". I mentioned that I have a pacman frog and know what they should look like. Her demeanor changed and she said "Well they just got shipped here. It's stressed out". I looked at her. She said "You don't want it?" Then she hurried up and shuffled the frog from me and then PUT IT BACK ON DISPLAY! Not one bit of help or compassion for that poor frog. Fast-forward to today. In desperation I decided to go back there. I looked at the poor pacman frogs on display. One was ☠️. And it was long passed. I brought it to the store clerk and she rushed it to the back. Then as I was wandering around she came back and said " Can I help you with anything else?" I had a feeling she was trying to rush me out of there. I finally got back to the worms. I opened up the cooler and the most pungent smell hit me. I opened the worm container. Which I know I shouldn't have and the worms were mush. 🤢. But that's not the point of this post. Although if they can't take care of worms the other animals don't have a fighting chance! Mind you, these desktop displays are voluntary for Petco stores. A lot of stores have opted out due to the actual care of Pacman frogs being much greater than displayed or advertised. So this store is VOLUNTARILY displaying and NEGLECTING these poor frogs. There is no excuse. If they can't take proper care of them, then they shouldn't have them in the store! Please, please do not buy them from Petco either. I know it's tempting and seems cruel but if you buy them, it just encourages them to buy more!

  Pet store employees are the are the laziest retailers I’ve ever had to deal with. They are always standing around talking and not approaching customers. All but Pet Smart. I’ll just start making the drive out of my way.

  I had the pleasure of having Kyle groom my shorkie today!! He was so nice and he did an amazing job. I'm extremely picky with my dog and his attention detail is great.

  Everyone at that store is absolutely amazing. Very helpful. Very knowledgeable. Love this store.
