I like taking my 3 pups to Banfield, the care they get it's great. They remind you if your darling's are due or missing any vaccinations. Would definitely keep going.

My experience with Banfield was absolutely devastating, and I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.
The hospital is severely understaffed and overcrowded, and it shows in the quality of care and communication. On March 2026, my dog, Bentley, had a comprehensive drop-off exam. Not once was I informed that his bloodwork indicated kidney disease or that there were any serious concerns about his health. Had this been communicated to me, I could have sought treatment sooner and potentially given him a better chance.
Instead, months later, Bentley became critically ill. I spent thousands of dollars at the emergency veterinary hospital trying to save him, only to be faced with the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep.
The lack of communication, compassion, and accountability from the veterinarian was completely unacceptable. No pet owner should have to discover such a serious medical condition only after their pet is fighting for their life.
Losing Bentley has been one of the most painful experiences of my life, and I can’t help but wonder if things could have been different had I been properly informed back in March.
If you love your pet, I strongly encourage you to think twice before bringing them to Banfield or any Banfield location. My family trusted them with Bentley’s care, and that trust was completely broken.

Please do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. They tell you misinformation about your plan. They told me they would have management call me after their associate gave me the wrong information about my plan causing me to lose a plan that I had pay for and was not able to use. When the manager call she told me I should have read the contract! She is right I should have but I should also be able to go to them and ask them about the contract and not be told lies due to their associates not knowing the contract themselves. I believe they should read it also so they know what they are talking about when a customer asks them a question.

How do you spell downhill? B-A-N-F-I-E-L-D!!
Where do I start? Like so many others my first few years experiences were okay. I thought it was questionable that on my first visit they said that my dog will “never be seen in front of me” because of his size and would always require to go to the back. My dog is now 20lbs and is still required to go back which feels a bit shady in terms of practices according to so many friends but I’m a new dog owner so I didn’t know any better. My second experience was okay except the nurse kept asking me what vaccines he had. I thought that was a bit strange considering I’ve only ever taken him there and his info should be on file. Nonetheless I keep good records and had it available but I am still confused as to why she did not know as she was looking at the computer.
Today, with the incompetent woman who answers their phones, was my LAST STRAW. I called to ask about allergy testing, which they don’t provide as a “pet hospital”. They should be a pet urgent care, unhelpful and preventative only. But I asked this woman not ONE not TWO but FOUR times to let me know what shots or things included in his plan that were still needed. She says only Lyme disease shot at first. I go on his portal and see multiple things overdue so I ask about them and she says oh yes he can do those too. Did I not ask her to share me everything? Does she not understand the word everything? She’s allowing my dog to be put at risk because of her negligence and then was laughing when I asked if she could go through the plan and triple check to confirm with me. First of all, idk what’s funny about not knowing things that you should know. The true joke is the woman answering their phones because of your lack of attention to detail and inability to provide a the thoroughness needed when answering questions. We will have our last appointment next week and then I’ll update this post with our new insurance provider.
RUN, don’t walk, FAR AWAY FROM BANFIELD. The only good thing about the Yonkers location is one Latina working at the front desk and Dr. Nicole who I will miss but ugh find a better place to work!!!
