- DCDenise Cela3 days ago1.0Very disappointed with this place. The wait times are outrageous and the organization is poor. On top of that, pricing is extremely unclear and inconsistent. Last week, I paid over $800 for my cat’s visit after initially being told the cost would be almost half that amount. Today, I brought my cat back only for an arthritis injection. Before the appointment, I was told the total would be around $100–$115. I also made it very clear from the beginning that I did not want another exam, since my cat had already been examined the week before. I only needed the injection. After waiting 2 hours for the doctor, he spent less than 5 minutes giving the injection and did not examine or even touch my cat. When I went to pay, I was shocked to be charged $199. When I asked why, I was told it was due to their “medical visit protocol.” What medical visit? There was no exam performed. I pointed out that charging for a visit that never happened made no sense. Only after I complained was I offered the option to come back later for an actual exam—but the doctor was on lunch break, meaning I would have had to wait even longer. This experience felt very unprofessional and frustrating. The lack of transparency in pricing and unnecessary charges make it feel like business comes before patient care. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Now I’m locked in with their plan for 12 months and seems I’ll never be able to use it.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
