  This used to be the only Petco because they seemed to actually care about the animals in their care.Sadly that’s no longer the case. I’ve kept and bred chameleons for over 20 years. All my current chameleons are rescues and a couple from this very store. I was in today and they have a male and female veiled chameleon housed together that are just reaching or getting close to breeding age. I spoke the manager and assistant manager and they both laughed it off and said the female can handle herself. I won’t be back in this store. Over the years I’ve helped rescue and rehabilitate a dozen or more of their reptiles at my expense and time.

  I stopped in Petco to get special food for a Ferral. I just rescued. Petco staff told me that there was free vaccination exam on May 3. I called the morning of spoke with the manager, Joe who confirmed it. Was able to crate the cat and bring it to Petco to find out. They gave me the wrong information. It’s not the first time I’ve had an incident with Petco and was dealing with furry kids It’s not as easy as the human kids. This has encouraged me to stick with the local suppliers and with Petsmart.
