  I feel really sad leaving this review because I wish I didn’t have to make it. I am a bearded dragon owner & I have been here about 3-5 times to grab bugs for him, & maybe once to get food for our cat. Coming to this location, especially in a nice area like Pittsford, I’d expect to go to a clean & well kept location. The employees have always been kind, have never had any issues with any of them ever in the past. The first time I went, I bought isopods. When I opened up the pack, none of them but one were surviving. I know they had to have been left a while for them to get to that point because I know they live a long while if taken care of. I came back a couple times after just thinking that maybe it was just a hiccup once & I just happened to grab a bad batch. During those couple visits, nothing wrong, just wasn’t the healthiest worms I had ever seen out of any other petco, petsmart chain I’ve been to. But when I went last time, just within this past week, I purchased two containers of superworms. I got home & more than half of them were dead or lethargic & died 2 days later. They put on the container that these were the larger ones, when these were definitely small sized worms. I combined the two containers together once getting rid of the bad ones & still only half of ONE of those containers was full of live ones. Needless to say, even in a pinch, I will NOT be returning to this location. It’s not cool to neglect any animal or bug of any kind like that, especially if you’re selling to the public, also ESPECIALLY at that price. I will be going to a local location found who sells healthy bugs for feed & for much cheaper.

  They did not have any of the items they claimed to have on line and told me to go to other stores in the Monroe County to pick up I spent the day looking for items for my aging dog and came home with nothing

  Back in February I took my dog to get a bath. I don't know what the employee Mercedes did but my dog came back slightly scared and anxious which has never happened. He is doing better now with baths. It took me long to post this because I believed I was overthinking it but it is clear something was done to my dog. Do not book with Mercedes unless you want your dog to be mistreated.

  I brought my 3 year old with me and he loved looking at the animals in the store. We picked up some treats for the dogs. The cashier was friendly and quite competent.
