DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH A PET EMERGENCY. I had an absolutely terrible, heartbreaking experience at Bond Vet in Long Island City and would never recommend them. They are irresponsible, disorganized, and showed a complete lack of compassion for my cat during a medical emergency. I paid a full exam fee of $169.50 for a visit that lasted maybe 10 minutes. My cat was actively bleeding from his eye, and they promised to order a vital medication to treat it. They claimed it was on backorder and would take a month to arrive. They were not truthful with me; I waited anxiously, only to find out two months later that they had never even placed the order. My cat was suffering from a life-threatening emergency, and they dropped the ball entirely. The only thing helping him was antibiotic drops from Amazon and a cream I bought from them that didn't get to the root cause of the infection. I had to constantly hound them just to get them to do their jobs. Even then, they tried ordering a version that wasn't in stock, forcing me to do the legwork to push them to find an alternative brand that was actually available. They were completely unaccommodating throughout this ordeal and overall made things much more difficult for me at every single turn. When the medication finally arrived months later in July/August, they never bothered to notify me. I had to hound them just to find out it was sitting at their office. By that time, Bond Vet was offering 100% free first visits to new clients. Because I paid full price for a completely botched experience and was going through a hard time financially, I asked if they could show some generosity and offer a discount on the medication instead. They refused to give me any discount and were not accommodating at all. Instead, they gave me the wrong hours for when the manager was on-site, causing me to make unnecessary trips to the clinic. To make matters worse, the manager wasn't there during the promised hours, and the secretary said she left early. The veterinarian herself was the most professional, but the fact that she never ordered my cat the meds as promised nullifies her cordial demeanor. The rest of the staff here were mean, unprofessional, and entirely dismissive. I truly felt like they did not care about healing my cat and were perfectly fine letting him suffer or die. Avoid this place if you love your pets.

They usually have availability and are open every day which is why I came here a couple of times. It is very overpriced, especially for the service you get (same as any other vet but more waiting). I was definitely overcharged for my dog's visit and he was probably given a treatment he didn't need. The vets that I saw were friendly and explained things but the visits themselves were very quick. Be aware of the treatments you're agreeing to. Also medications are much cheaper online and still cheaper at nearby vets. TLDR: If you need an urgent visit but not an ER visit, Bond Vet is serviceable. If not, go somewhere else. That's what private equity money does to quality of care

Took my cat here for worms with Dr. Jodie Poller and had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. Not only did she and her assistant seem rushed and impatient throughout the entire appointment, but we were also shown on our bill that our bigger cat needed 1 tablet per dose while our smaller cat needed 1.5 tablets per dose. I double checked with the assistant because it didn't seem right to me, and she went to ask the vet and told us it was the correct dose. In addition, they tried to charge me $25 per pill even though I could buy the same for $5.75 on Chewy. I asked the assistant if I could order the pills on Chewy instead, and she just turned around and walked away without saying a word. My previous vets at Bond Vet Chelsea would always offer upfront the option of ordering medicine on Chewy to save costs. I placed the order for 5 tablets on Chewy right away, and it took nearly a week for the prescription to be approved—only for us to receive only 2 tablets total, with a label indicating 1.5 tablets prescribed for our bigger cat (even though they originally said 1) and nothing at all for our smaller cat. I typically never write reviews—let alone negative ones—so let this dictate the degree of disappointment I am feeling due to their lack of professionalism. I will be switching to another vet.

My baby boy who I’ve had the pleasure of adopting from a shelter for a little over a year and a half, has come with some unfortunate health issues along the way such as epilepsy and reactivity problems with dogs and at times people. As you can imagine, if you’ve had a pet with socialization issues it can be difficult to find a vet who is understanding and accommodating for your pet. After receiving some abnormal bloodwork at our previous vet with not much of breakdown of what it means and wanting to directly do further testing without much explanation, we came to bondvet LIC though a recommendation for a second opinion. Not only were they so accommodating and gentle with make sure louie was comfortable, but they we’re so thorough in explaining all the blood work we’ve had received, and giving us multiple options of how to proceed forward. Dr. Quesada made me feel calm, confident, and simplified everything so we understood exactly what was going on! I plan on shifting to her directly for the care for all my pets, and could not be more impressed with the care and service she provides! We can’t recommend her enough. The nurses Lexi and Elvee we’re so absolutely kind and gentle with louie, and he already can’t wait to come back to see his friends! Thank you so much ladies for wonderful experience!!🐾
