Our veterinarians and staff are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership and preventive health care with a full-service medical facility offering general services like routine vaccinations, microchipping, dental and surgical care and more. We are accepting new patients now.
I am very disappointed with my experiences at the Banfield Pet Hospital Pelham branch. I have brought my cats here for routine vaccinations and had multiple instances where prior medical records I provided did not appear to be carefully reviewed before recommendations were made regarding what my pet “needed.”
At several visits, I did not feel there was clear communication or a thorough explanation of what was being done during the exam. The lack of transparency made it difficult to understand what was actually being assessed during the appointment. And the paperwork provides intentionally vague information as it seems in retrospect. Customers need to question these things as I have before you take your pet there and they are actually sick and you won’t be informed.
I also referred a friend for a first visit using a promotional offer which I wholeheartedly regret - but I want to give them the benefit of doubt. During both the initial and follow-up visits, we were given paperwork stating the cat was in “seemingly good health,” yet we continued to have concerns about symptoms including unusual breathing, discharge, and possible fever post-visits. When we tried to ask follow-up questions about what was observed during the physical exam that they “completed before bringing us in” we did not receive clear explanations. About body temperature, test results or whatever their infamous physical exams consists of. Just attitude from Dr Sylvia and Orio.
Unfortunately, the cat’s condition worsened afterward, and we are now seeking care at another veterinary clinic for proper evaluation and treatment. This has been very upsetting, expensive without itemizations and raises concerns about the thoroughness of the so called assessments performed.
Overall, the communication, attentiveness, and thoroughness during visits did not meet expectations for veterinary care. And the front desk people don’t know what they are talking about and need to be trained. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so improvements can be made in transparency, exam documentation, pet protection and client communication.
I will be taking this to corporate as soon as we are done getting the services elsewhere that we paid Banfield for. And I will be asking for reimbursements. If you don’t love animals please change fields and stop exploiting people who genuinely love their pets and want they to stay healthy.
Service rendered: unsatisfactory.

Update: June 11th -
Update: my friend’s cat has pyometra (life-threatening) and the vets at banfield said she was healthy TWICE. I’ve contacted the location for refunds and they are giving the run around, and I am still taking this as higher up in banfield corporate as God allows.
Because now I need to go re-check my two cats (one old and one young) to make sure they arent fake healthy as well.
I am pissed.

I love Banfield in Yonkers. I stop coming to pelham manor for services because there slowness, not allowing parents in the room with their furry babies. To top this they let wait 1 to 2 hrs before calling you in for appt and just have your per for 5-10min ( Make it make sense)
What also bothered me was not being allowed in the room with my pet during services. As pet parents, we should feel included and informed, especially when it comes to our babies’ care.
Another major issue is the environment in the waiting area. Bigger dogs are barking aggressively at other dogs, and the front desk staff does nothing to control the situation. The atmosphere feels chaotic and stressful instead of professional and calming.
Honestly, every time I went to Pelham Manor, I left feeling unsure if my child even received all his shots correctly. Meanwhile, the Yonkers location always makes me feel confident, informed, and cared for.
Overall, Pelham Manor gets 1 star from me and if I could give zero, I would. Management truly needs to step up and improve the customer experience at that location.

I am currently going through a weeks long issue where I was given two completely different directives on a dental issue with my puppy who is now 11months.
1st, I was told to wait until after my Optimum Wellness plan ended (so Oct-Oct) since he was still a puppy. This made complete sense as it is common in growing small dogs. I even mentioned he would be 1 in June as I got him at 4 months and this was still what was recommended.
However, i scheduled my last comprehensive exam to be in person. I waited 40 minutes and was only told about the reason when they were ready for me. I was also told it could no longer be in room. The vet came out flagging the dental issue telling me to wait another month. I told her I was told to wait for a longer time. She specifically said “let’s see where is at at 10 months”
I had no problem waiting again but I was told once I see him having issues eating this would need to be addressed.
In room visits do not exist at this place even if its an option you select and get confirmation on. The optimum wellness plan changes nothing when it comes to customer service.
I feel like a fool cause I was warned heavily before this which caused me to preemptively save in anticipation of paying fully out of pocket and riding out the rest of this contract.
I am not made of money at all. My puppy is just my primary expense so I am able to do this. If you think service will match the cost genuinely search for other options! If you have to schedule around approved time off this is also something to consider as time is not respected. If you rely on public transportation or uber also think about that and know your whole commute can be flipped.

Victims of a bad operating system and terrible costumer service. Whatever software they have to use makes check-ins slow, you will be waiting in line up to 20+ mins, and then have to deal with incompetence. I made an urgent appointment as my cat wasn't responding to her asthma medication so I wanted a different kind of rescue inhaler. I called and made an appointment for 3:45pm and instead of confirming, Banfield called me to ask to move my appointment to 2:30pm. I agreed only to be told that they never changed appointment time in the system. How are you going to call me to change the appointment time and then not do it? What was the purpose of the call in the first place? Moving my schedule to get my sick pet seen only to be told "I'll have to check you in closer to that time". Why is it so difficult to offer up an apology for wasting someone's time? You guys suck so hard.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
