  Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and poor dog handling at this salon. At the very beginning of the appointment, I proactively explained to the staff that my dog whines a lot when he sees other dogs due to his anxiety. Instead of taking this into account and bringing him back promptly, they made us wait in the busy reception area for 20 minutes, allowing his stress to build. During this wait, other customers walked into the room and greeted my dog. He had absolutely no problem with any of them and showed zero aggression.When a staff member finally approached us, they did so completely incorrectly. The employee aggressively chased/tossed a collar across the room right toward my dog. Naturally startled by this sudden, unprofessional movement, my dog barked exactly one time.Without trying to calmly greet him, listen to what I had already explained, or use any proper handling techniques, the staff refused service on the spot. The entire interaction lasted less than 60 seconds. They allowed his stress to peak for 20 minutes, provoked a reaction with poor handling, and immediately gave up on a dog who was perfectly fine with other human strangers.This salon lacks basic patience, empathy, and knowledge of dog body language. If your dog has even slight anxiety, avoid this place. They are not equipped to handle them properly.

  I have been a Chewy customer for 6 or more years. One day I needed to pick up something for a shelter dog and stopped at Petco in Oceanside NY on my way home from work. While I was shopping a gentlemen (Bill possibly the manager) asked if he could help me. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me my options. Then asked what types of pets I have at home. He continued to ask if I shop at Petco often. When I shared that I was a fan of Chewy he walked all my regular shipment items with me and showed me that I would pay less and earn points. I have since had my cats food,treats and litter delivered from Petco and I am happy that the packages arrive with everything in usable condition(literally boxes not broken in shipping and Temptations containers not cracked) and mixed in with the opened litter. Also the packages arrive on the day posted.

  This location used to be my favorite Petco. Back when the bald gentleman ran it. I'm not sure who is now, but service has gone down hill. I've had the same old man with grey hair help me in aquatics and he's beyond unhelpful. How do you not know about animals in your own store?
