  We love Rivergate! Our primary doc Dr. Eve is the BEST -- she's such a thoughtful, talented, and caring veterinarian. Even our pup Daphne loves her vet visits -- every time we walk by, she stops at the front door of Rivergate and asks to go in.

  They never answer the phone. The exact same issue kept happening at the old location, and they kept saying it was a phone problem. Well, it’s not—the front desk just doesn’t answer calls, and this isn’t the first or even the fifth time this has happened! This is a recurring issue mentioned in other reviews. My pet was having an emergency, and I didn’t know what to do. I called every 5 minutes for an hour and a half, but the phone would ring a few times and then go to voicemail. Given the emergency, I still decided to head to the vet, hoping they would help us, even though they weren’t answering the phone. After calling for an hour and a half every 5 minutes, I went there in person with my pet. When we arrived, I found out the front desk lady had muted the ringer on all calls—there was only one receptionist. While I was there, I tried calling them again as she sat at the desk, and I was shocked to see that while I was calling, the phone was showing a red blinking light but made no sound. The receptionist was just playing on her phone when I got there. When I asked why she muted the ringer and why no one was answering calls, even though I had been calling many times before coming in, she just said she was busy and acted like it didn’t matter. The receptionist who muted the ringer is the Hispanic woman with black curly hair and lots of tattoos. She truly doesn’t care about you or your pet. Don’t come here—you’re at the mercy of the front desk and whatever they feel like doing. You can be having an emergency and you won’t be able to get through because the front desk decided to mute calls and not answer them. And when I confronted her in person, the front desk lady said it was business as usual because she was busy!

  I’m very disappointed with my experience with Rivergate Veterinary Clinic today. I emailed early in the morning requesting a Pet Vet Diet Authorization form for my dog Nala’s Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein (HP) food. She can only eat this prescription diet, and I needed the form so my parents could purchase her food locally. However, waiting 7+ hours for a simple diet authorization form, with no clear timeline or update, is extremely frustrating when it directly impacts whether my dog can eat at all. When I called as soon as they opened, someone in their front desk confirmed they had received my email and said a doctor would review it. When I called back hours later, the person at the front desk questioned whether I had even sent the email, despite it already being acknowledged that morning. I was then blamed for the situation, told it would take as long as it would take since they have emergencies, and the call ended abruptly after I explained that Nala can only have HP food. I wasn’t asking for special treatment. I was asking for timely help with a basic form for a prescribed medical diet. The lack of professionalism from the front desk and the lack of timely response from the doctors was really disappointing.

  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr Kaminski and the staff I experienced during my visit. I had a late day appointment and even my observations in the waiting room showed a staff that cares deeply for their patients and for each other. They are kind and down to earth. Dr. Kaminski has a skill for explaining things in simple terms and I genuinely appreciated how calm and welcoming she was to both my cat and me. She is incredibly smart and her upbeat personality and ability to explain things with ease as such a rare combo. So very grateful to Rivergate, Dr Kaminski and the wonderful vet techs and staff.

  Truly the most wonderful group of veterinarians in the city. My dog personally sees Dr. Sue, but we've seen many providers here and they've all been top notch. Dr. Sue and her vet techs / assistants are a joy to work with. They take the time to answer my questions and are very thorough making sure no stone is uncovered within reason.
