Went into to buy a new litter box. It’s confusing price wise because the one I purchased was on the shelf for 1) $18, 2) $38, 3) $52 when in fact the correct price is $52. When I went to check out, I asked for a bag and the associate at the adjacent register said it won’t fit in a bag then said it again, like I was stupid or didn’t understand what she said. You need to have bags that will hold large items like litter boxes.

Not exactly that I think you would, but do not buy the kittens here. You’ll meet an older gentleman just clocking in who absolutely hates working there that will talk to you in a condescending manner then fix his hair in the glass reflection after just to seal the deal. Understandably I wouldn’t want to parent children all day terrorizing the cats either, but instead maybe that’s your design problem. This petco is completely redesigned and beautiful compared to its old location (which happens that the cats were policed behind an adoption table which seemed to work). Also all the feeder bugs were dead :(

I’ve been to this store three times, and I really love the energy of the team members and the overall vibe of the space. Andrew was super helpful in helping me find a healthy option for my pit bull, and he also signed me up for the Vital Care membership, which has saved me a lot on my beautiful baby girl. The food and goat milk he recommended were a hit—she loved them, and they didn’t upset her stomach at all. She was licking the bowl! I also took my baby girl to get groomed for the first time, and her groomer, Tommy, showed exceptional hospitality. He did an amazing job with her, and when he saw that I was struggling with groceries and my dog, he helped hold her so I could get her collar and leash on. The only thing I wish is that I could have tipped him, but I couldn’t because he is still fairly new. Management, please make sure this gets fixed because he definitely deserves tips! Overall, I’ve had a great experience here and really appreciate the kindness and care from the team.

I had a very upsetting experience in the aquarium section with an employee named Wayne, a larger bald white male employee. I tried to ask him for help, and another Black customer also tried to ask him a question, but he ignored both of us.After ignoring us, he went on to help another group of white customers who arrived after us. To me, this was clearly racial discrimination, not just bad customer service. No customer should be treated this way.Everyone deserves to be acknowledged and helped fairly, regardless of race or ethnicity. I left feeling disrespected, unwelcome, and extremely uncomfortable. Management should take this seriously and address Wayne’s behavior.

Had a 7:00 AM grooming appointment at Petco and arrived on time, only to be told the groomer had overslept and wouldn’t be in for another hour. That’s not a minor issue—it’s unprofessional. When a business offers early appointments, there needs to be reliability and accountability behind them. Because I work in a school, I couldn’t wait around or stay to see if any solution might be offered. Since I also couldn’t leave my dog without the groomer present, I had no option but to leave. What’s most frustrating is that there was no attempt to meaningfully address the situation—no accommodation, no effort to make it right. The customer experience didn’t seem to factor into the response at all. Customers are expected to show up on time. It’s reasonable to expect the same from the business.
