  What can I say, they don't call it a flagship store for nothing; they have almost everything you're looking for for your loved ones and then some, and you could even give your pet a bath for 30 dollars.

  Sales staff need to drop the attitude! Being helpful and pleasant IS their job! There is lots of competition out there! So do some “people skills “ training with them! With AI on the way we will all need some human contact.. businesses that crack that.. will succeed !

  This is a fairly new location and a beautiful store. Unfortunately the staff working the checkout seem to be all college kids who would rather be anywhere else. I frequent this location often and even today when I was there the young girl who helped me seemed annoyed and didnt say a word during the entire checkout. I've been a Petco customer for many years but will probably avoid and look for a location or another company that is happy to see customers....

  I am extremely disappointed with the drastic price difference between the Petco website and the Petco Union Square Flagship Store. When booking online, the price for dog grooming was listed at $88 per dog, but when I dropped off my dogs, I was told the starting price was $128 per dog. I have never experienced anything like this, and NO, the price difference was not disclosed or reflected on the website. While my groomer was courteous and did a good job grooming my dogs, the service itself was nothing extraordinary. I requested a simple shave and face trim, with no special cut or styling. I also did not request any additional services or add-ons. I called to speak with a manager about the pricing discrepancy. He apologized for cutting me off mid-sentence, explaining that he was the only manager working at the time for the entire store. He took my phone number and assured me he would call me back, but that call never came. I ultimately paid $280 for grooming two dogs, which is simply outrageous for the basic service I received, especially when I had not requested any extras. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was just as disappointing. Some employees were courteous, while others came across as rude and dismissive. The manager, in particular, could benefit from additional training in customer service and communication. If Petco is going to charge premium prices at its Union Square Flagship Store, it needs to operate at that level. That means being transparent about pricing, properly managing the store, and ensuring employees are trained to deliver the level of professionalism and customer service customers expect when paying premium prices.

  ‼️ WARNING: deceptive membership practices. Yesterday, the staff here signed me up for “a free month” of Petco Perks Premier without full disclosure. They completely omitted the fact that this program requires a 12-month commitment and that you will continue to be billed every month even if you try to cancel it. Treating an annual paid subscription like a casual rewards sign-up is completely dishonest. I am now stuck dealing with customer service and my bank to stop these unauthorized recurring charges. Avoid signing up for anything at the register! ‼️And please avoid employees who insist on checking you out themselves in the upper floor cashier station, refusing to let another employee check you out. ‼️
