  This is a new re rescue pet, and I did not have a regular vet for him yet. I was pleased that he could be seen within walking distance, and the same day I contacted. Dr. Harrington was welcoming, thoughtful, and seems to be a very common-sense practitioner. I was delighted that she phoned to check on my cat Skid on Saturday -- i had not recontacted because he already appeared to be out of the woods, and the Rx food and probiotic that was suggested was already working for him. Thankful that he's got a good vet going forward!

  After navigating a persistent and stressful health issue with my tiny senior baby, the care we received from Dr. Chu and her assistant, Nashali, was nothing short of transformative. Dr. Chu is a rare find - warm, generous, and incredibly thorough. She approached my dog’s assessment with such tenderness and precision, creating a treatment plan that finally addressed the pain we have both been feeling so acutely. What I appreciated most was Dr. Chu’s transparency and sensitivity regarding the financial aspect of our care. She was exceptionally clear about the costs of various procedures and worked with me to determine which options truly fit into my reality, ensuring I never felt pressured—only informed. Beyond the clinical excellence, the entire staff—starting with Odetta’s delightful greeting and smile at the front desk—made us feel completely supported. I was initially overwhelmed by the amount of information and medication discussed, but I arrived home to find a beautifully written, comprehensive email from Dr. Chu. She captured every detail from our visit with a clarity and heart that brought me so much peace. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly seen and supported at the Vet. Across the board, this was the best care imaginable. Thank you Dr. Chu, Nashali and the team at HCVG (LES).

  I cannot recommend HOC enough - they have been our vet since day 1 with our 6 year old Cavapoo keeping him healthy and happy! I specifically wanted to leave a rave review for the practice manager Natasha. Natasha and the International Travel Team at HOC are truly world class! Traveling with a dog to Hawaii is an incredibly detailed, time-sensitive process, but Natasha made the entire experience feel seamless. She was knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and proactive every step of the way, guiding us through all of the paperwork and requirements with incredible attention to detail. Her expertise gave us complete confidence that everything was done correctly, and our dog was approved without any last-minute stress. You can tell this team genuinely cares about their clients and their pets. I couldn't recommend Natasha and HOC more highly!

  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Heart of Chelsea Veterinary clinic in the Lower East Side, specifically Nurse Skylar and Dr. Harrington. I brought my baby girl Muffin (a British shorthair cat), in for her annual checkup and some gum inflammation, and the experience was flawless. The clinic itself is incredibly bright and super clean! It creates such an inviting environment, and I felt completely comfortable with Muffin in the exam room. What truly sets this practice apart is that the team is specially trained in feline care. Dr. Harrington is a cat owner herself, so she truly knows cats inside and out! It gave me total peace of mind to see how expertly and gently she and the team handled Muffin. They completely understand cat behavior and tailored the entire visit to keep her stress-free. Nurse Skylar has the absolute best demeanor. They were incredibly patient and knew exactly how to keep Muffin calm during her exam. Dr. Harrington is brilliant, thorough, and deeply compassionate. She carefully examined Muffin's gums, explained the inflammation issues clearly, and recommended great home care products to keep her teeth healthy without ever making me feel rushed. If you are looking for a medical team that combines top-tier expertise with genuine, cat-friendly care, ask for Dr. Harrington and Nurse Skylar. Thank you both for taking such amazing care of my baby girl!
