  I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review in my life but Dr. Mikhelzon was so bad that I think it’s important to know before bringing your animals here. Please know she was unkind to our pet and also to my partner and I. Her bedside manner was appalling and she seemed to have never seen a cat before in her life. Prior to seeing this vet, another vet had warned us to not take our pets to her, which really says a lot. We went anyway because she was the only dr in the day we needed one. After her terrible job, we took our baby to VEG in carle place who were amazing at their job and also kind and empathetic in their approach. Highly recommend VEG :)

  Like another reviewer wrote, my partner and I brought in a stray cat for a full wellness check. Mind you, we called the office TWICE to make sure this was in their wheelhouse. They gave us the “okay” both times and scheduled to bring her in. The doctor working that day was Dr. mikhelzon. Right off the bat she was extremely rude and off-putting. She never introduced herself but barged in and started asking questions as if it were an interrogation. She told us multiple times that she did not have time for something like this and spoke with a condescending tone. She treated the cat as if she’d never seen a cat before in her life. Her lack of understanding and empathy was appalling. She even scolded us for photographing our own cat. Her tone the entire visit was angry, rude, and demeaning. Immediately after this traumatic experience, we brought our stray baby to VEG in Carle place. They treated us and our cat with so much love and care. I seriously can’t say enough good things about them and highly recommend you go here if you’re able to. The difference was incredible. The supporting staff at bond vet in Merrick has always been lovely. This review is not about them, but purely about the doctor. In fact, I think they were more qualified than the doctor was. I definitely recommend trying somewhere else if Dr. mikhelzon is in the vicinity. We had been warned by other patients and even other vets about her attitude prior to this, and this was all the confirmation we needed.

  Kind, loving& caring team. Clear communication, gentle and compassionate handling of pets & a welcoming clean facility. Thank you so much for helping us esp Sam(German/Belgian Shepherd). Grateful for all services rendered.

  This place is the epitome of incompetency. From the staff in charge of answering the telephones, to the "doctors" that seem to struggle with basic comprehension, it's bad all the way through. Don't believe me? Filter out all of the fake reviews for this establishment by using the lowest rating filter. Do you see how they all say the same thing?
