Bond Vet - UWS at 112th Street offers primary and urgent care to the dogs and cats of Morningside Heights and Columbia University in Manhattan. Bond Vet is a new kind of veterinary experience that’s designed to be better for pets and their people — it’s a modern and friendly vet clinic with comprehensive care. In addition to primary (or wellness) care, we offer urgent care, a field we pioneered that is timely, same-day or next-day care for for symptoms that can worsen with time, such as coughing, diarrhea, eye and ear issues, a paw issue, a wound or any other non-life-threatening symptoms and “uh-oh moments.” Our collaborative and highly trained veterinary doctors, nurses and assistants handle a wide range of cases, from primary care (wellness visits, vaccinations, spay/neuter, dental cleaning, mass removal) to more timely urgent care cases and unique cases, like specialty orthopedic surgeries and cryptorchid neuters. In sum, we are happy to be your one-stop-shop vet. Our mission is to foster the bond between pets and their people, and we know pets and people haven’t always enjoyed vet visits — we’re here to change that. That’s why we offer comprehensive and thorough care, upfront pricing and a delightful in-clinic experience with clear communication and convenient booking options. Come by for primary or urgent care at Bond Vet - UWS at 112th Street. Book online, call us or walk in. bondvet.com

I have now visited this Bond Vet location twice due to my cat who is suffering from an overactive thyroid. He was seen by Dr. Azer on the first visit and Dr. Anderson for a follow-up because of nausea/vomiting. My experience here was great overall. The doctors and staff were attentive, answered my questions, took the time to explain things, and were very thorough. I also really like their texting system and how easy it is to schedule an appointment. I highly recommend this veterinarian office.

My little kitty got too curious over the weekend and managed to escape via the fire escape and hurt her leg. I was lucky to find her, but noticed some limping. I hoped it would improve, but didn’t seem like it was - in comes Bond Vet 112th! I searched for a place that offered surgical consults, and found them. Making an appointment was swift and simple! When we arrived at the appointment, check in was smooth and the office was neat. The doctor and veterinary assistant were so kind, and gave me my options for handling my little baby’s poor leg. Once i made a decision (x rays), I was given some paperwork and briefed on what would take place. Once again, very reassuring and informative. I left while the x rays were getting taken, and was kept in the loop by the team. When all was said and done, the veterinary tech gave me all the info I would need for discharge! All in all, my experience was great and my little cat got the care she needed. I would recommend this location!

I brought my dog to this veterinary office in March because I was deeply concerned about noticeable changes in his behavior and overall health. I specifically informed the veterinarian that something was clearly wrong, explaining that he was walking into objects around my home and urinating excessively. I requested a thorough examination because I wanted to understand the underlying cause of these symptoms. Unfortunately, the visit felt extremely rushed and lacked the level of care and attention I expected. The entire appointment lasted no more than 20 minutes, and I left with a bill exceeding $600, antibiotics for the urination issues, and no real answers. Bloodwork was performed, but I was told nothing significant was found. At no point did I feel that a comprehensive examination was conducted, despite my repeated concerns about his condition and behavior. After seeking a second opinion from another veterinarian, my dog was diagnosed with glaucoma. I was informed that had the condition been identified earlier, there may have been an opportunity to preserve his vision or slow the progression of the disease. Sadly, my dog is now completely blind, and the blindness is irreversible. What makes this experience even more upsetting is that I did raise concerns regarding his vision during the initial visit. When I later contacted this office again to discuss his worsening eyesight, the receptionist responded dismissively and questioned whether I had even mentioned these symptoms during the appointment, which I absolutely did. I understand that not every condition can be diagnosed immediately, but I expected a more careful and thorough evaluation given the symptoms I described. Instead, I left feeling unheard, rushed, and ultimately failed by the level of care provided. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this veterinary office.
