  why should you go to vet who is trying to Maximize profit (maybe owned by private equity?) with pure receptionist who looks unprofessional? perhaps you are desperate but there are so many other vets in the hood...

  The clinic is not responsive at all if something urgent happens (this is during working hours). My dog waking up having really bad diarrhea and was throwing up. I called the clinic to see if I could book something really quick or do a walk in. The call was answered by AI. A very very cheap AI solution that only reads preset transcripts (also doesn’t let you interrupt). It couldn’t help you with anything but wasting ur time. I explained what happened and needed an appointment or walk in given it was urgent, it only repeated that it couldn’t book apt but send me a link and didn’t know walk in availability(website says yes) and when I requested to talk to clinic staff and explained it was urgent AGAIN, the AI started reading a transcript (like call may not be answered if it’s after hours or staff is busy blah blah) and finally said “are you sure you wanted to be connected now”. Of course yes! After wasting 5min while I was extremely anxious and frustrated, I finally got transferred but no one picked up my call. I hanged up and called an ER (was told wait time was long as there were 5 pets waiting). The clinic called back while I was talking to ER. I missed the call and called back — it was the AI picking the phone call again and reading the SAME transcripts…. Anyways, I was ultimately able to talk to the clinic staff and was told the doctors that day declined to see walk ins…. I work in tech and I get that AI has been used in all sort of areas, changing our life or making things easier. For businesses, management is using AI to lay off folks such that they could save money/make more money themselves. I understand that. It’s capitalism and business. However, for a healthcare organization where chances are high for patients calling in due to life threatening urgency, it is a bad faith, and greedy to use AI as the first point of contact. Pet economy is ludicrous but being a healthcare provider, there is sth more than money. I will never come back. The other clinics I called later all had staff picking up the phone and gave me suggestions.

  The doctors were so nice and patient with my dog. They calmed her down and took excellent care of her

  Dr, Elizabeth Prescott was absolutely the sweetest. She treated our cat with love and caring. The 3 girls assisting her they were also very sweet. They gave me all the instructions to care of my cat at home. Will bring my other cat here as well.
