  I took my Mia in as an emergency. She had surgery the week before in SC and while we were back in NY it looked like her stitches popped. They took us right in and she saw Dr. Scaperotti. He cleaned her up, examined her and put our minds at ease. He was thorough, personable and treated her as if she was a long time patient. He also put our minds at ease and gave us his opinion of her diagnosis. A few days later he removed her stitches. Everyone at Mahopac Animal hospital was great and we will be back if need be. Thank you all!

Dr. Scaparotti and the entire team have cared for all four of our dogs over the years, and every single experience has been exceptional. Their professionalism, kindness, compassion, and genuine love for animals are evident from the moment you walk through the door. Every member of the team makes you feel that your pet truly matters. Dr. Scaparotti has now performed surgeries on all four of our dogs, and every procedure was performed with exceptional skill. Every one of our dogs healed beautifully without complications. Knowing that our entire pack has been in his hands gives us complete confidence every time we visit. We also truly appreciate their fair pricing. Receiving this level of medical care, attention, compassion, and expertise at such a fair price is something that deserves to be recognized.   I love Mahopac Animal Hospital, which offers so much care and gentle treatment of our pets. They even take the time to call the next day after an appointment or procedure to check on our pets. Wonderful staff and Dr. Scaperotti is top tier Vet.

  I have trusted Mahopac animal Hospital with my pets for a very long time and every time I feel like I’m getting ripped off and taken advantage of. I recently got my dog a physical exam sent out his stool sample and got his anal glands drained which caused me $500 as expected wasn’t a problem. I was told to bring my dog back in two weeks for a checkup of his anal glands usually a $30 charge for a drainage. I was charged $121 and when I got home and looked at my receipt, I realized that they charged me for a physical Again, so I called thinking it must’ve been a mistake and it wasn’t. They charged me for the doctors time even though he told me to come back again in another two weeks if it happens again, so I’m expected to pay $121 every two weeks for anal drainage and when I told them that seemed like a rip off, they told me that I could go somewhere else and they would have my records ready for me. I was not nasty. It just felt very unjust and just like that they didn’t care and told me I can go somewhere else.

  This practice is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I have been bringing my dogs here for 10 years. They have helped them through many medical issues, and they were there until the end. I will continue to trust my dogs in their care.
