I usually bring my dog in for her vaccinations, but this time I was busy, so my husband took her instead. Since he wasn't familiar with her vaccination history, we expected the staff to review the records we brought, as instructed, and guide us appropriately. Our dog had already received her rabies vaccine last year, yet she was given another rabies shot anyway. This was completely unnecessary and resulted in an avoidable expense. I expected the veterinary staff to carefully review her records before administering any vaccines.

I'm only giving 3 stars for the fact that I was able to get in earlier than my own vet. The lack of direction and signage left myself and other customers wandering around Petco wondering where we were supposed to be. The staff was pleasant enough but the set up was basically just a back room stuck in a corner. The cost seemed reasonable especially on the short notice that I had to get my pet in. I believe I booked a week in advance when my vet was not able to get me in for 3 weeks. Overall, decent but use your own vet if possible.
