  I had a grooming appointment scheduled for 8:30 AM, and my experience at this Petco location, managed by Bran McMenamin, was extremely disappointing. I drove an entire hour to get there, only to arrive and find that the store was still closed. I called to ask whether my groomer had arrived, and I was told she might be running late. I proceeded to wait an additional 30 minutes in the parking lot, expecting to be helped. When I attempted to enter the store, the doors were still locked, despite the store supposedly opening at 8:00 AM. A staff member, who I believe was a groomer, looked directly at me through the door but did not bother to let me in or offer any explanation. I called again, only to be informed that my groomer had called out sick. I completely understand that emergencies happen and employees can become ill unexpectedly. However, the lack of communication, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate a loyal customer is unacceptable. My dog’s birthday is tomorrow, and I scheduled this appointment in advance specifically to have her groomed in time. This was my third grooming appointment at this location, and considering that the inconvenience was not my fault, I expected the staff to make some effort to find a solution. I explained that I had driven an hour and then waited another 30 minutes, and I politely asked whether they could accommodate my dog for her bath and haircut. Despite explaining the circumstances, they refused to service her. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I stated I would be contacting corporate, the employee immediately placed me on hold and transferred me to someone else. As a customer, I should not have to waste an hour of driving and an additional 30 minutes waiting just to be turned away because of an issue that could have been communicated to me beforehand. I understand that staffing issues are sometimes unavoidable, but how a business handles those situations says a lot about its customer service and management. Unfortunately, the grooming staff at this location came across as unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude. After this experience, I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for reliable and respectful grooming services. I hope corporate takes this complaint seriously and addresses the lack of communication and customer care at this store.

  Went in to buy toys and make an appointment for grooming …worst experience ever. The employee, an older woman with black hair, was dealing with a customer before me and could not locate the gentleman’s dog, scaring him. Then when I stated I wanted to make an appointment and provided documentation my dog was groomed in June at this location she argued with me saying it never happened and all my dogs vaccines were expired. How are you arguing with me after I showed a receipt showing the date, time, price and name of the groomer who cut my dogs hair. I was so disgusted by the service I told her never mind only be met with more attitude “ then why try and make the appointment I’m too busy”. Well if you are too overwhelmed with your job maybe find another one.

  Lately I've been very disappointed you have fussie cat on sale and nothing on the shelf my experience is that there are not enough of items of what I need also with the so fresh grass seed no fragrance kitty litter a big inconvenience for me and my cats

  The manager at this location is a miserable human being who has no business being in customer service or a manager. He refused to give me his name. He was exasperated over answering simple questions. He said we couldn't get Glo Fish without a glo light and I know this isn't true. He didn't want to help us. I told him "You don't seem eager to answer questions" and his response was "I'm the only one who can help you." I told him we would take our business elsewhere and he walked off and refused to give me his name. My kids were shocked. Petco - do better. And don't work in a place that you can't handle simple questions.
