  My dog and I were very happy after our appointment with Dr. Krista Li. I had originally booked with a different doctor, but that doctor ended up being in surgery during our appointment, so we were switched to Dr. Li. I guess sometimes the universe knows the best plan, because she couldn’t have been a better fit for us. I couldn’t find a review of her, so I wanted to share our positive experience in case it helps someone else. Dr. Li didn’t hesitate to get down on the floor with my very anxious 12-year-old Alaskan Klee Kai to make him comfortable during his exam. She wasn’t alarmist, and she let me take an active role in choosing a plan for his care. She explained things without ever being condescending, and I felt like we connected and were on the same page. She even asked my dog what he thought of his care plan, which was such a small but thoughtful thing to do. Is this the most affordable vet on the planet? Definitely not. But the pricing is transparent, and you approve every charge before any vaccines are administered, labs are drawn, or tests are run. They show you everything itemized on a screen so you understand what you’re paying for. Whenever I’ve needed medication refills through Chewy or Bond Vet’s online pharmacy, they’ve been reviewed quickly. Being able to text with the front office and veterinary staff is really convenient, too. Dr. Li followed up with me on all of the tests that were run and helped explain further when I had a question about a value. We are blessed that all of his levels looked good, but I felt confident that she would have appropriate next steps if something required treatment or more testing. It does seem like this location has high turnover. Three of the vets we’ve seen in the past no longer work here, though I know some move between clinic locations. We hope Dr. Li stays in Garden City or nearby!

  THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET!!! Terrible Services. They just want your Money. Kayla from this particular location is extremely rude and nasty. They wanted to charge me over $500 and said my dog has ring worm which was impossible and was merely a guess. They charged me $135 just for a visit and said that it was limited to 30 minutes! They spent most of that time going over everything they wanted to charge for!!! Then Kayla got angry and rude when I said that I do not want to pay for some of those unnecessary services they were trying to charge me for after making up a diagnosis. I will never come back here again. I went to a local groomer in Great Neck instead who was very sweet, treated my dog with so much care and charged me a fraction of the cost and confirmed it was not ring worm! This place is a franchise and they just want money. My poor puppy was in pain and they couldn't care less about him! Please stay away if you love your pets!

  Very nasty rude and racist Female veteran Dr. Shewta Karandikar even though her and my daughter are the same complexion, I guess she feel like she’s better than her or more dominant because she’s not African-American she gave the cat more respect than she gave my daughter. The crazy thing is my kid had the money plus extra for what her kitten needed but we have to stop giving our money to people that look down on us, disrespect us are rude to us and think that they are better than us.

  This place is fantastic. They were very good with my 4 yr old old mixed lab. The staff is fantastic starting with Sergio at the front desk. I didn’t get the assistant’s name but she was very loving to our dog. She went over all the services and took away things that were not necessary for this visit so my bill was lower. I will be using this vet for all my care for my dog “Dubs” because from the moment I walked in I felt very comfortable and at home. This vet place is highly recommended

  Dr. Shewta Karandikar was sooo unprofessional and honestly giving stupid advice. I brought my dog in 2 days ago as she ingested a foreign object, she did end up pooing it out but i still brought her in. The vet tech was very kind and made my dog comfortable and sat on the floor to get her vitals as my dog is skittish and won’t get on the table. The “doctor” walks in and within 10 seconds tells us that our dog is going to die without emergency surgery. And mind you at this point is she is eating and acting normal. No x-rays were taken, nothing. I tried to brush that away and asked for meds to make her poop, i’m also in the medical profession which i didn’t tell her so i know what im talking about. She REFUSED to give meds for that and i told her she has severe anxiety and REFUSES to give meds for that as well! At this point she tried to get her up on the table and i told her she ain’t get up cos she’s skittish, she tried and her collar came off. She thought we were bad dog owners and took her to the another room to check her and guess what, ofc my dog didn’t wanna get on that table without us as well. BTW i told her to get on the floor, she refused to do that as well. After telling us our dog was going to die right off the bat without asking more qns refusing to give meds etc, she then rushes the process and tells us they close at 6 and it was 4:30 at that time. This is the WORST place anyone can go to. Not only did she make my dog uncomfortable but us too, i’ve never seen such a horrible and rude doctor who doesn’t know anything about dogs. She generalised my dogs “illness” without asking specifics, which is so silly. Has no bedside manners as well and was very sarcastic and super rude. Lastly, my dog is alive and well. She didn’t drop dead like how the doctor kept claiming she would. -100/10 would be my rating. DONT come here.
