  I would like to acknowledge Dr. DiPrete, Kerry the office manager, and the veterinary tech, Jocelyn for being fantastic at today’s visit. Heather who I usually see took my appointment the day before over the phone and I came in because I was concerned about Sophie. Luckily it was nothing major and Dr. DiPrete took care of things immediately and sent Sophie home with the proper care. I am pleased to say that Banfield is an extension of our family in Farmingdale. Thank you so much for everything.

  Banfield has been fantastic in treating and caring our dog. They always explain everything to us and are focused on his well being. We have recommended them to other dog owners.

  Not sure what the vet techs name is, but she was beyond impersonal. We brought our dog here for a nose bleed, pretty scary due to the substantial amount of blood that we were seeing. Our dog is an outside, very active 9 year old and seeing him down yesterday was hard to see. As a tech representing the company there should be a level of warmth and compassion, neither were there. Other than that, the vet was very friendly and turned the experience around. I appreciate her for making me feel better about the situation.

  Very Disappointing Experience Our experience at this veterinary office was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, we felt uncomfortable with how our dog was being handled. The staff initially wanted to take our dog into the back without us, which we were not comfortable with, so we declined. When the veterinarian eventually came into the room, her demeanor and overall presence made us feel as though she did not want to be there. During the examination, she made several assumptions about our dog and began discussing and prescribing medications even after we clearly explained that we did not want our dog unnecessarily medicated. What concerned us most was that some of the conditions she seemed to be suggesting were later ruled out by the test results. Despite the negative results, she continued recommending medications, which made us question whether our concerns were actually being listened to. As pet owners, we expect a veterinarian to listen to us, explain their findings clearly, respect our decisions, and base treatment recommendations on the actual results and needs of our pet. Unfortunately, we did not feel that was the case during this visit. The veterinarian’s demeanor, communication, and approach left us very uncomfortable, and based on this experience, we would not request to see this veterinarian again. We hope the office takes this feedback seriously because pet owners deserve to feel confident that their animals are receiving thoughtful, respectful, and appropriate care.

  July 9, 2026 ⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely unacceptable experience. I arrived at 7:30 AM for my dog’s scheduled appointment. The receptionist told me my dog couldn’t be a drop-off because of the notes on his account, which I completely understood since he has anxiety. She then told me the doctor would be available for an in-room visit in about 30 minutes, so I agreed to wait. To keep my anxious dog calm, I spent over an hour walking him around the parking lot. After waiting all that time, I received a phone call from the receptionist saying they were now fully booked and that I would have to reschedule. When I asked, “So you had me wait here for over an hour just to tell me you can’t see my dog?” she simply replied, “Yes, unfortunately.” This wasn’t just poor scheduling it was a complete lack of respect for my time and my pet’s well-being. If the schedule was full, someone should have told me before asking me to wait. Instead, they wasted over an hour of my morning and put unnecessary stress on an anxious dog. Mistakes happen, but how they’re handled matters. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right, and no consideration for the inconvenience they caused. I expected much better from a veterinary hospital.
