Excellent visit. Glad I did not wait the 2 days for my regular version visit. The quickly diagnosed what was wrong with her and began treatment. Admittedly, it wasn't cheap, but I assume these things never are no matter where you go. Every visit I've had was in the $1-2K range, but they weren't stubbed toes either. Dr Kraft is still the best emergency experience I've ever had. She diagnosed my baby with Addisons Disease in 2020 and it gave me many more years with him I may not have otherwise had. The Dr's I've had interaction with are very caring and knowledgeable.

At For-Profit VMC your money the top priority; your pet is not. Please just go to Cornell, at VMC you will wait far longer and then pay very inflated prices for inferior care. My dog was in pain with a visible injury and after paying the $255 fee we waited in the lobby for almost 5 hours before being brought to an exam room. There I was finally offered some pain meds for him, if I pay $100-150 before it is administered. 'The doctor is still too busy for a full exam of your animal, but they can pop in and do the pain meds now; they'll get to him later.' I questioned the cost of the medication, which I'd previously been charged $22 for at Cornell. When I started asking questions the time estimates to see the doctor started getting longer. At this point I've been here most of the night and my regular vet will be open in 5 hours. When the tech came back and quoted that to sedate and clip & clean my dog's wounds - just to evaluate what treatment will be needed - would cost between $1000-1500, I pushed back again. I asked if my dog can just get the pain meds to get him though to go to the regular vet in the morning, since I know the same service will not cost so much there. Besides, he's already been made to wait almost 6 hours, so a dose of pain meds should get him through 5 more. I was told the doctor would come discuss this with me. I waited a further 40 minutes; I never met the doctor. I requested a refund for the exam fee and left. When we got to the vet in the morning they charged $257 for the exact evaluation described by VMC plus the treatment. All in all VMC was ready to charge me AT LEAST $1900 for the bare minimum after they let my pet suffer for 6 hours. Easy math to work out VMC's priorities: desperate pet owners who have no other local 24-hour clinic are a very profitable captive audience. Your pet is collateral. I will never make this mistake again, the drive to Cornell is far shorter than the years this experience has already taken off my life. I can only hope the long-term effects for my dog are not so bad as many of the horror stories in others' reviews.

My dog was attacked by 2 dogs so we brought him in right away. I thought the care we received was amazing! The staff explained every step of the treatment to get my boy all patched up and feeling better! I feel like they treated my dog with care and compassion! Everyone that I interacted with in the office was so friendly and caring. As a dog mom who takes the care of her dogs seriously and gets super upset if something is wrong with them everyone had such kind words and helped me get through that traumatic night and got my boy all patched up.

The Veterinary Medical Center of CNY is an incredible place filled with caring staff that truly loves animals. It starts with the kind people at the reception desk who are quick to set up your pets info for their experience. Next the techs get all your pets info and reason they came in. Very efficient and empathetic. Then during the exam and initial contact with the doctor, their caring and professional knowledge puts your worries at ease. Their thoroughness with testing and knowledge of various conditions make you feel confident that all will be well soon. Their suggestions at discharge made it easy for the next step of follow up car. Dr. Carissimo and Dr. Sweetman made the whole experience bearable with their compassion, knowledge and empathy.
