Extremely disappointing and upsetting first experience
I honestly don’t even know where to begin because this was one of the most frustrating and upsetting experiences I have ever had at a veterinary office.
I brought my dog in for her 11:00 AM appointment today. We didn’t even get brought into a room until approximately 11:40 AM. We were then told that the office was doing a drop-off service and that it would be about an hour. I was completely understanding of that and had no problem waiting. I stayed in the area for an entire hour before calling back to ask how much longer it would be. THAT is when I was told that it could actually take a few hours and that they would call me when she was ready. Again, I understood and trusted that my dog was being taken care of.
I didn’t receive a call until approximately 2:30 PM, and when they called, it wasn’t to tell me anything about my dog. It was simply to ask whether I wanted to add another vaccine. I declined because my dog’s vaccines are already up to date, and I was told she would be seeing the veterinarian soon.
Fast forward to 5:50 PM. The office closes at 6:00 PM, and my dog had now been there for approximately 7 HOURS for what was supposed to be a simple first appointment. I called the office because at this point I was extremely concerned and wanted to know what was going on. I was left on hold for 18 MINUTES trying to get an answer about my own dog.
When I finally arrived at the office, I was told that I didn’t need to pay for the appointment, which I appreciated, but then I was presented with ear medication/treatment for my dog that I was expected to pay for — despite the fact that I had not even received a proper conversation with the veterinarian about what was found, what was done, or what the actual plan was.
And then the veterinarian came out.
Instead of addressing my concerns or answering the questions I had, the veterinarian was rude and dismissive. I was essentially told not to give my dog treats and that she was fine. That was it.
I left with more questions than answers.
My biggest concern is that I genuinely do not feel confident that my dog was properly evaluated. I have no idea how thoroughly she was actually examined, and nobody offered to have her reevaluated by her primary veterinarian, who happened to not be working that day. An offer to have her seen by her regular vet would have gone a LONG way toward making me feel better about this entire situation.
My poor dog spent approximately SEVEN HOURS there. She didn’t get to eat when she normally would, she didn’t get to go outside on her normal schedule, and she was essentially sitting in a crate for the majority of the day. She came home around 7:00 PM absolutely full of energy because her entire routine had been disrupted.
I understand that veterinary offices get busy. I understand that emergencies happen. I understand that drop-off appointments can take time. What I do not understand is leaving an owner waiting for hours with virtually no communication and then dismissing their concerns when they finally ask for answers.
This was supposed to be my dog’s first experience with this practice, and unfortunately, it was an absolutely terrible first impression. I walked in trusting that my dog would be cared for, monitored, and properly evaluated. Instead, I spent the entire day waiting, calling, sitting on hold, and wondering whether anyone was actually paying attention to her.
I am angry. I am frustrated. Most importantly, I am concerned for my dog and disappointed that I was never given the reassurance or answers I deserved as her owner.
A veterinary visit should leave an owner feeling confident that their pet was cared for. I left feeling like my dog had been forgotten about for seven hours and that my concerns were an inconvenience.
I truly hope management takes this experience seriously because this is absolutely not the standard of care or customer service I expected from a veterinary practice.

My cat had a dental cleaning, manicure, and an annual physical. As I participate in the Banfield Wellness plan, my total cost was about $42.
Staff were professional. All of my concerns were addressed.

Everyone here was fantastic, kind, and compassionate. I found a cat on the side of the road and wanted to get her help, and called around to several places that couldn't see me. When I called here, they were able to get me in the same day which was great. Both ladies at the front desk were super sweet and kind, and the vet and vet tech were both knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding. Everyone treated my cat like she was a superstar! I will be back to this location <3

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
