  Absolutely awful. Only 2 employees in the store. 1 was at the register, 1 grooming a dog. After waiting over 20 minutes for assistance, I walked out. Not these poor employees' fault, just an terrible experience.

  After years of supporting this location, I was just turned away from grooming because my mom's dog has a swollen left eye - due to glaucoma- and was cleared by the vet this this week FOR GROOMING. My mom has alzheimers and I am her sole caregiver. I have done everything I can to make sure she is clear for grooming - which hasn't been easy because anytime I leave Mom, I need someone with her. Every trip out of the house is an essential trip and was hard to arrange. For this reason, I will no longer be supporting this store.

  Called and got transferred to the grooming salon was asking questions about the bath, the service, and multiple openings that it showed online so my dog could get an express service since she’s a nervous dog and benefits from one on one time with the groomer. I’ve never booked an appointment for the grooming salon before. The lady that answered the phone was super snotty and rude from the jump. She talked to me like I was dumb and acted as if I couldn’t comprehend what she was saying. I was nothing but patient with her until the end of the phone call because at that point I was fed up and that’s when I answered her last question how she was talking to me…I hung up the phone. Mind you the whole time she treated me like I was dumb, acted as if I couldn’t comprehend what she was saying, and acted as if she was better than me. I will NEVER bring my dog here to get groomed if that’s how the employees treat customers. I won’t be returning to the store either and will NEVER bring my dog to be groomed at this establishment. I also called today 09/29/2026 at 1:17 trying to get an appointment for later in the day. PETCO needs to do better at who they hire 100%

  The manager "Jess" at this store is rude and unprofessional. She had an attitude about a discount and actually pointed her finger at me. Not the first time she has acted like this.

  Received a 20-lb bag of Nut & Fruit infested with moths. After consultation with your support dept, I taped up the bag and took it to the Canandaigua NY Petco for an exchange, figuring they could just give me an equivalent weight of product, save a lot of shipping costs, and sort it all out internally. Their idea of an even exchange was based on retail prices, not equivalent weight, so instead of "sorry for the inconvenience, here's 20 pounds of what you expected," the only options I was offered was a refund or an exchange for twp 5-lb bags. Pay for 20# and get 10#? I think not. I took the money. So I came out whole financially, but now I have to scramble to find another source of the seed I need to hold me over until my next autoship arrives. I'm disappointed that corporate policy apparently didn't give the local store the latitude to act in the best interests of preserving the customer relationship.
