  My experience with Petco has been absolutely horrible and extremely disappointing. Avenue Y location!!!!!!!!! Petco canceled our veterinary appointment twice. The first time they canceled, we called and spoke with them, and they told us we could simply make a new appointment. We did exactly that, and we even confirmed the second appointment. Despite that, they canceled the second appointment as well. When I called them again, the staff told me that the reason was because it was our first appointment and we would not be paying an examination fee. They told us that if we really wanted, we could go to Vetco Mobile Care instead. The people I spoke with on the phone were also incredibly rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. When it comes to an animal’s health, you expect a veterinary service to genuinely care about the animal and provide reliable care. Unfortunately, my experience made me feel like the money they can collect is more important to them than the animal’s health. Please do not trust this place with your pet’s health without thinking twice. Canceling our appointment twice, even after we confirmed it, and then treating us so disrespectfully over the phone is completely unacceptable. This has been one of the worst and most disgusting experiences I have ever had with a veterinary service. I would absolutely not recommend Petco based on my experience.

  This is a pretend boutique shop. They offer pretend services that do not benefit your pet and maximize profit over care at any moment. Examples? They strongly push simpáriica for my 6 dogs, but fail to offer the info that it can trigger lifelong seizures. They'll charge for unnecessary X-rays to declare a disease cured when in reality it's a chronic lifelong disease. They mix up who they give vaccines to. They yelled at me for asking the vet questions and told me to stop taking. They even kidnapped my dogs so that I can pay for a rabies shot that he received 5 days prior but I couldn't prove it in seconds because it was done by my mother, so they started threatening to call the police on me. Maniacs. Most importantly? They discussed my pets death outside of work with a second clinic in violation of my privacy rights, embarrassed me, spread lies and then denied it blatantly. They'll charge you 800 for something that cost 20$. Diana seems nice but she gossips about everyone and anyone and should be fired asap and so should that pretend manager. By all means go here if you're the loopy majority or you can break the cycle of spending in a shop that sells sick and tortured animals and their skins (rawhide).

  I came into VETCO today with a prescription and several questions. Nia assisted me, and she was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. She took the time to walk me through everything step by step, making sure I understood the process. I also scheduled an appointment for the next day, and she clearly explained what I would need to bring to be prepared. Nia went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service, and her professionalism and kindness made my experience a very positive one. She is a true asset to your team.

  I was disappointed due to I took my cat Smokey Jack to get a follow up and shots, nail clip, ear checked and the assistance wasn’t able to clip his nails and the vet didn't look inside his ears, my cat is very scared of riding in cars so he was anxious and I guess vet didn’t want to arrogate him anymore, Vet and assistant had a very hard time holding him time to give him shots that the needle was in my cats thigh and he was running on time i had a bad experience this time around, thank you

  Nia and Eric were amazing during my visit there. Considering it was my first time there they treated me and my boys with such upmost respect and kindness. I will return back to that Vetco even if I’m coming from Long Island. Thank you respectfully 🙏
