Customer service needs to be worked on when dealing with online purchases. Whomever the female representative/cashier is was very unprofessional and not listening properly. There needs to be a better protocol.

They have a large variety of pet stuff, though some of it seems expensive. Not that many pets themselves, though. It doesn't smell great in there either lol. The staff are very nice.

I visited Petco today around 2:00 PM and wanted to share a concern regarding the working conditions for employees. I noticed a team member standing for an extended period of time, and when I asked if she was able to sit or take a moment to rest, she explained that employees are expected to stand the entire time and are not allowed to lean on the counter.
I understand the importance of providing great customer service, but I also believe employees deserve a workplace that considers their comfort, health, and well-being. Providing a chair or allowing reasonable moments of support would not take away from customer service and could help employees feel more valued.
The employees are the face of the company, and their hard work should be recognized. I hope management takes a moment to review this policy and consider ways to better support the people who represent Petco every day.

I usually love this petco which is the only reason I am giving it 3 stars but today I had the most unpleasant experience. I come to this petco a lot, I recently spent $400 in aquatic supplies & glo fish. I had 4 corydoras, 5 tetras, & 6 danios. I researched they all should have 6 fish of each so they can school properly & be less stressed. I went to this petco only wanting to buy 2 more corydoras & 1 more tetra. Upon, asking a worker she instantly started questioning me. I have been this petco plenty of times and bought plenty of fish and have never been questioned before so obviously it’s going to throw me off. She proceeded to ask my tank size, how many fish I have, then asked what kind, and if they’re aggressive. When I gave her all the information, I also told her how they never questioned me before & I come here a lot so I don’t know why all of a sudden she needs all this information to sell me more fish. She proceeded to give me an huge attitude & tell me how she doesn’t usually work in this fish section & she needs to ask her manager first. Never once did she even bother to ask how many fish I even wanted. She came back 10 minutes later meanwhile there was only 5 customers in the store & tell me how I can only have 3-4 more. All I wanted was 3 to begin with, if she would of asked before it could of saved a lot of time. Honestly, if she doesn’t know anything about fish then she shouldn’t be working in that section making customers uncomfortable by aggressively questioning them & giving an attitude because the customer is clearly confused on why she is questioning them. If she just asked how many I had before making me sit & wait for her to “ask her manager” I would of been in & out with no problem. I completely understand wanting to make sure the fish are safe but she made me feel like I don’t know what I am doing, questioned me like I was a criminal, & then gave me a huge attitude. I didn’t get her name but she’s spanish, short, has glasses, tattoos, & dark brown/black hair with dyed blonde ends. I will not be returning to this petco just based on this experience alone. I also bring my dog to be groomed here so petco will be losing out on a lot of business just because your employees are extremely rude.

Khole and marie at the registers were a huge help and very kind absolutely no complaint about anything exceptthe grooming service. Molly the groomer was horrible! Paid for all the extras and emphasize prior to dropping the dog off that the nail cutting was the main reason for the visit. When I came to pick up the pup she was rude by talking about how the dog should be banned from petco and I should be grateful that she didnt do that cause the pup didnt want to stay on the table and she couldn't control him enough to cut any nails. The extra service of also getting rid of the under coat was definitely not done, hair can easily still be pulled out with a gental pull. Unless you have a pocket sized dog that will not move do not go here for grooming!
