When I came to HOC I was so downhearted about finding relief for my cat’s pain. Dr. Bartel listened to my concerns, examined bandit and offered us the perfect treatment that other doctors at other places did not. I am so grateful to Dr. Bartel. Bandit is comfortable now thanks to her and Heart of Chelsea.

The best vet in my opinion in NYC. Mainly due to Dr. Andrew Torchia, he is always available to answer any questions and provides the best quality of care to my two dogs. I would highly recommend Heart of Chelsea for any dog owners

A truly special place. Dr. Torchia is one in a million and my husband and I have joked more than once that we wished he took human patients so that he could look after our health as well as he looked after our late dog's. He truly cared about our elderly greyhound, was very knowledgeable about breed-specific quirks, and always took his time to make sure we understood every detail of our dog's health and any treatment plans that needed to be put in place. All the vet techs are top-notch as well. Our dog used to stop outside the door to Heart of Chelsea every time we passed it on a walk and demand to be let in for some pets from whoever was behind the front desk at the time--that's how much she loved it there. It's so rare to find a business with so much heart and I can't thank them enough for taking such wonderful care of our good old girl.

I have only had one visit so far, but it could not have been a better experience. Everyone we worked with was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, conscientious, and thorough in providing information to help us make a decision regarding our dog's care. So glad we chose this vet!
