This will be the hardest but most important review that my heart will ever write. I have been coming to Heart of Chelsea on the 46 street location as a referral since I need a new vet for my cat who has been losing weight rapidly during covid of year 2020. This is where I met Dr. Torchia. The love and dedication he gave to my cat on day one was such a relief to me. When we were able to find out what was happening with my cat, we immediately took action. 6 years later, and 4 pets added, Dr. Torchia has been my to go "day one". I don't see me going to any other veterinary. Even when he moved to Brooklyn, I needed to follow. The same cat he first treated in 2020 came to him one last time in 2026 to say goodbye. My cat, Mutti, passed away at the age of 19 years with Dr. Torchia present. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I want to say thank you to him and his team who constantly devoted their time to our precious babies. The care and the love they present. The explanation to every move they make when it comes to our fur babies so we have a better understanding of what is happening at the moment...these are priceless. I will continue to praise this team for the wonderful way they handle my situation. I want to give flowers to the doctor who helped me deal with a cat who was sick and brought him back to health and who closed a chapter with me with Mutti's passing to the pet rainbow. Thank you Dr. Torchia.

Absolutely love this practice! They were so thorough and kind & made sure I fully understood everything throughout the appointment and the follow up care instructions. I really appreciated how they took the time to explain all charges beforehand so there were no surprises about how much anything would cost at the end of our appointment. So grateful I found them for my sweet senior kitty's vet care!

My cat has been having terrible diarrhea for the last six months and its been a huge effort to try and find a solution. The doctor, nurse and other staff were all extremely helpful and kind. The food change they recommended seems to have worked almost immediately. They helped me avoid spending thousands of dollars and harmful medicines by finding a less intense solution. Thank you all!

We had our first appt today after foster failing and adopting our cutie Coco. We were put at ease by Skylar and Dr. Weston, who were great at explaining everything to us as first timers! Heart of Chelsea was recommended by Hearts & Bones rescue, and I'm so glad! Coco is a bit reactive, and by the end of the appt, Skylar had her eating out of the palm of their hand (literally haha). 5/5!

We’ve been coming here since we got our first cat, Georgie, and we truly cannot say enough good things about this place. Even after moving farther away, we still make the trip because we would not trust anyone else with our cats’ care. We brought our second cat here soon after adopting her for the same reason. Dr. Torchia is incredible with cats. He takes the time to explain everything clearly, is thoughtful in his approach, and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his patients. He does not overprescribe and always makes well researched, measured recommendations. My cats are my babies, and he truly understands how much they mean to me, especially when I am worried about their health. Jennifer, their insurance specialist, is also amazing. She goes above and beyond to ensure that everything is covered by our plan and makes the entire process seamless. I trust her completely. I highly recommend this clinic. The level of care, expertise, and attention they provide is unmatched.
