  I visited Petco today with a dog in my care. Right outside the entrance, the dog had a rather substantial bowel movement. I immediately cleaned it up with a dog waste bag, tied the bag, carried it just inside the first set of automatic doors, and placed it in the large trash can at the entrance. While helping another customer, the cashier stopped what he was doing and came over specifically to tell me that the trash can was “not meant for dog poop.” He then asked me to REMOVE the bag from the trash and take it to another trash can “around the corner.” I was honestly stunned. This is a PET STORE. I responsibly cleaned up after the dog, securely bagged the waste, and put it in a trash can. I attempted to retrieve it as requested, but the trash can and cover were filthy. I was not going to reach into a dirty public trash can to retrieve a bag of feces, so we left. What made the situation even more baffling was what was happening directly outside the store. The vehicle pictured was parked directly in front of Petco’s entrance for more than 30 minutes. In addition to the numerous flags and decorations, there appeared to be a very large novelty sex toy prominently displayed on top of the vehicle. Yet my securely bagged dog waste, already inside a trash can, was apparently the situation urgent enough for an employee to stop what he was doing and confront a customer. The alternative trash can I was directed to wasn’t even immediately outside Petco. It was farther away, in front of a neighboring office-supply store. To be clear, I am not complaining about anyone’s personal expression or the messages displayed on the vehicle. I am questioning the judgment and priorities demonstrated during this interaction. Petco specifically welcomes animals into its stores. Animals occasionally poop. I immediately cleaned it up and disposed of it responsibly. If that particular trash receptacle cannot accept bagged pet waste, simply telling me where Petco’s designated receptacle is located for future reference would have been completely reasonable. Asking a customer to reach into a filthy public trash can and retrieve an already-disposed-of bag of dog feces is not. I would appreciate clarification of Petco’s policy: Are customers actually expected to retrieve properly bagged pet waste after it has been placed in a trash receptacle? And where does Petco expect customers to dispose of pet waste when an animal relieves itself immediately outside the store?

  Vetco not my favorite place the people were very judgmental..I was there for shots not to get my dogs nails trimmed..comments can come to a hault and worry about what they are doing as im there for vaccinations , if you dont trim nails why bring it up.. I know my dogs nails are long..thats why nobody will see her unless I get shots.. I will be finding a vet..these cheap places arnt always available , id rather pay more for better connection. Maybe these people arnt happy ?? Idk but they were not that kind.
