I've been a Banfield customer for about 10 years, but most of that was in Los Angeles. When I moved back home to Reno I was glad to be able to continue with the same system. Unfortunately the Reno Banfield leaves much to be desired. Every interaction I have had with staff has been great but it seems the corporate side has created scarcity, systems and rules that do not work in our favor. For my dog to see the vet I must leave him for many hours, usually dropping him off at 8 or so in the morning and not picking him up until afternoon. I miss the days of dropping my dog off for a few hours and having a one-on-one with the Dr afterwards but that doesn't seem to be how they do things. Most animals do not enjoy being at the vet for hours and hours, I did not have this problem with the office in Los Angeles. I was also passed over for dental cleaning even though it is included in my subscription. When I called to ask they couldn't give me any answers as to why I was never contacted but instead put on the bottom of the list. The person I talked to seemed confused as to why it happened as well. It seems if I am paying for a yearly dental exam then the office should have the capability to do the dental exams and not have an 8+ week wait, and then not get called at all. Also I am now receiving texts and alerts saying my dog is due for his exam when he just had one. The quality is going down and it seems the folks that work there don't have much control over the automated stuff. I have looked into other vets and will not be renewing my Banfield subscription next year.

Leo loves to step on the scale, the moment we get there, he is not afraid, however he looks back before I leave

My pup has been seen at Banfield for most of his life. He's now 14 and still in very good health. He's slowing down a bit, but still active. I believe it's partly due to the great care he receives at Banfield. When I first signed him up, the closest Banfield to my home was about 45 min away. I was told they were opening a new one soon, closer to my home. A year later, they opened a new one, but not closer, about the same distance. That would be my only complaint I can think of. BUT, it gives me a reason to go into town! (Reno)

Seriously the subscriptions for everything is out of hand. I've been taking my dog here for 7 years and now since I don't pay for their lame wellness plan they won't see her anymore. No loyalty, no common sense, no care for animals.
